The warp pad sprung to life and with a woosh and a ripple they were in a large mountain area with many hokes lining the walls.
The Premier Kindergarten. Tanzenite looked down to Amethyst who looked happy and nervous to be there. Steven obviously had some mixed feelings about this place as well. Peridot just started walking ahead like it was nothing. Tanzenite followed suit, grabbing both of their hands and leading them.
Tanzenite began wandering her eyes around the old kindergarten. She'd heard of the place, but had never really visited before.
"As I was saying earlier.." Peridot said suddenly, drawing half of Tanzenite's attention back.
"Your gem crack may have been a physical fault, too hot when you came out and you cooled too quickly, so to speak." She stopped and looked back at her. There was an enormous gem drill in the way and Peridot looked lost.
"Could you uh... move this for me?"
Tanzenite smiled and stepped forward.
She grabbed the gem drill and tossed it behind them like it was nothing. Peridot smirked.
"I mean, it's not like you're lacking in strength or ability, your just smaller and more fragile. Why your memory is specifically affected, I asume, is why you need these files." Tanzenite nodded, realized Peridot couldn't see her nod, and answered "yes."

While Tanzenite and Peridot were discussing the how's and why's they were there, Amethyst looked more and more nervous and Steven was starting to take notice.
"Hey Amethyst?" She looked at him.
"Yeah Steven?" He paused.
"Why are you all so nervous about her getting her memories back?" Amethyst looked away and sighed.
"Its... it's a lot of stuff, she was my first real friend and.... I don't wanna loose her." Steven looked between Amethyst and Tanzenite, who was now lifting Peridot over higher rocks like she was a child, and felt a sudden twinge of panic.
"How long.... have you known her?" Steven said nervously. Amethyst looked at him again. The lines under her eyes were screaming that she was stressed and worried.
"Just.... she's been around much longer than I have." Steven looked away with wide eyes.

Slowly they approached a large area with an arena and a small building next to it.
"There it is!" Peridot exclaimed as she jumped down to the flattened area and sprinted across the arena to the small building.
"What is this place?" Tanzenite turned at Steven's question. He looked at Amethyst who blushed.
"Hey I don't know everything around here!" Tanzenite put a hand on her head and smiled.
"You still know more than us." She smiled and looked away.
"I guess, ya know, buy really, I have no idea what thus place is." She said with a straight face.
"It's an old Gem testing arena!" They heard Peridot scream from the building.
"Come on I thought you wanted some meories back!" She shouted again after a pause. Tanzenite smiled at Steven and Amethyst and jumped down. Amethyst helped Steven down, meaning she wrapped him in her arms and jumped down.

They reached the building where Peridot was and went inside. Bigger than they thought, the building showed signs of age. Cracks ran up the walls, there was a broken gem drill poking through the ceiling from when it shut down, and the air was thick with dust.
"Dude, this place is a bust, are you sure everything is in this old dump?" Amethyst stated as she walked through the door.
"I'm absolutely, er, 85% positive the things she needs are in here." Peridot answered.
"It's worth a try." Tanzenite said staring at the somewhat computer looking desk in front if her.
Peridot smiled and turned it on.
"The kindergartners who ran this place way back when logged in and out every Gem who came to and from here, you look pretty old, so you have to be in this machine." She clicked on a few things here and there and pulled up a file.
"AHA!" Tanzenite leaned in.
"Gem Login, Type, Pink Tanzenite." She double clicked on the files upon files of reports and each one of them opened. Peridot removed herself from in front of the computer and let Tanzenite see clearly.
"What's it say, T?" Amethyst asked axiously.
"One more minute." She answered.

What she found was folder inside if folders of two seperate Gem's writing style, one she recognized immediately and started reading.

"The Tanzenite that was made for me has proven time and again to be completely reliable, I have no need of a second."
"The Tanzenite that was made for me has proven to even adapt to the enhancements I put in place for her. She's stronger now."
Her eyes glided through every word, hearing the gem speaking in her mind. Memories started to surface.
"My Diamond suggested we run a few more tests before I let into a real fight. The newly made Quartz  soldiers should be enough for her to handle." A tear fell from her eye.
"When I'm right, I'm right, she's amazing through and through. No one can beat her! Ahem, point being Tanzenite is by far, the best candidate to be my partner. She's perfect!"
"Last test, I'm actually nervous about this one, My Diamond is watching today, I guess they do actually read these reports." She smiled. She could here the embarassment from beyond the words. She let out a small chuckle, which alerted Amethyst.
"Log date----- My Diamond is leaving today, she asked if me and Tanzenite could accompany her back to homeworld. I hope so, this place is too dangerous for her."
"We're leaving, I hope Tanzenite isn't too mad at me, this will be the last time we see this place, she keeps staring at everything... I wish I knew what she was thinking."

The end of the reports came quicker than she wanted. Memories began pouring in from everywhere.
The fights, the tests, even the enhancements, the reason she needed the gloves she always wore. Leaving Earth. They all came back.
"Tanzenite... yo, Tanzenite, T!" She blinked and looked at Amethyst, who was holding her arm looking very frightened. She looked around her and saw she was outside in the arena. Tears, began falling from.her eyes as she and Amethyst looked at each other.
"She called me perfect." Amethyst was confused, so she just held her.
"I get that..." Tanzenite hugged Amethyst and wiped her eyes.
"Im not done yet, there's still the other reports." Amethyst nodded.
"Just don't lose yourself okay?" She asked.
"Never Amethyst."
