The next day Steven found Tanzenite laying on the beach. She was balled up and sleeping peacefully, until of course, he woke her up. The slight feeling of his hand on her shoulder made her body shoot wake and grab his shoulders with a horrified expression on her face. He stared back, scared and looked down at his hand. Jagged, yellow lines began to fade from his palm. Tanzenite gave a sigh of relief and held him close to her.
"Steven you scared me, did you need something?" It took a long time for him to respond. Once he'd calmed down he kind of smiled at her.
"I was wondering if you were okay... you didn't come inside last night." Tanzenite grinned and nodded.
"Yes.. just... thinking."
"You sure think a lot." He said plainly. She looked back over the ocean surface, her eyes looked glazed over. Steven sat by her and grabbed her hand.
"What's eaten' ya?" His tone was playful and it made Tanzenite laugh. She sighed and grabbed her knees.
"Just... I'm happy you think of me as a friend... unless you don't, then I'm grateful that you've let me stay here with you." Steven looked slightly worried.
"You sound like you're leaving." Tanzenite dropped her smile and stared out over the sea again. Steven glanced up at her and saw the corners of her eyes were wet. He looked away before she noticed.
"It's my nature, I've traveled the world one thousand times and more, and I still can't pick a favorite place..." She looked down at him, a tear falling silently down her cheek.
"Steven, if I leave, will you still think of me as your friend?" Steven felt sick, how could she be leaving after everything that's happened, he was just starting to know more about her. He turned to her and smiled.
"Of course! But..." he took a breath, "but just, come back, I'll be here, so will Amethyst, and Garnet, and Pearl too, promise?" He said looking up at her.
In the moment, Tanzenite saw how young he was, he was genuinely worried that she'd never come back. She smiled sweetly, turning her head a little.
"No matter what, Steven." She held out her pinkie and grabbed his. He looked startled, then smiled and gave her a tight hug.

"Just be careful, I'm sure I don't have to warn you, but... Jasper is intense, she might have changed since you've last seen her." Tanzenite smiled and pay his head. She stood up and reached for her gem and pulled out a small peice of paper.
"Here, give this to Amethyst for me, she'll know what to do." Steven took it, looked from it to her and nodded. Tanzenite turned her head away and wiped her eyes. She took in a deep breath and was surrounded by light. Withing an instant, she was gone. Steven stared where she stood and noticed something out of the corner of his eye. He turned and saw a shiny something slightly buried in the sand. He leaned down and picked it up and saw it was a bubbled object that looked like a flower. Steven looked surprised and stood up quickly and ran back to the Temple.

"AMETHYYYST!" He shouted. Amethyst turned with a whole mess of cold fries in her mouth.
"Sup Steven?" She said choking through fries. Steven ran up to her making some droning noise and showed her the paper. Amethyst gasped, gulped down the fries and snatched it from Steven's hand. She opened the paper and looked at it closely. After a while of Steven trying to see what was written on the paper and Amethyst moving and blocking it from his view, she finally sighs and crushes the paper in her hands. Steven grabs the paper and unravels it. He saw nothing, no words, no picture, just nothing.
"Whaaaat!?" He shouted. Amethyst laughed.
"It's not ment for you to read." She said snorting.
"It was a message specifically ment for me, we made it up a while back." She grabbed the paper back from him and ate it, nudged him and walked to her room with her arms above her head. Steven stared after her and sighed then threw himself onto the couch. Where did she go? What did she need to tell Amethyst specifically? Was she okay? He didn't know, but he was going to find out.
