A Thought

Tanzenite found herself deep in thought while they headed back to the Beta Kindergarten. She opened a portal stream and stepped inside, offering a hand To Jasper. Who took it with a smile. The beam of light vanished with a zap, leaving nothing but footprints in the snow leading to nothing.
Inside the light stream, Tanzenite drifted into thought. She felt tight in her stomach. Every new mission, her unfusing with Lapis, she wasn't acting right. She glanced up at her without moving her head and balled up her hands into fists. She grit her teeth.
Was she jealous? Or was this worry?
The light stream dissipated and they were on the landing pad at the Kindergarten. Jasper stepped off and headed to makeshift cages in the rock face. Tanzenite watched her walk away. She felt like gravity had shifted underneath her. She knew something bad was coming. She looked at the beast's they'd already captured and scowled. They shuttered and whined inside their rock cages. She stopped walking just short of the main cage where the bubbled monster's went.
She reached through and grabbed the two beast's captured only moments ago.
"Put them separate from each other, they'll he able to break out if they're in the same cell." Jasper commanded. She started to walk away then stopped and turned her head to look back at Tanzenite.
"If they start acting up, shatter one to send a message." Her expression was set, she wasn't playing anymore. Tanzenite nodded and started to move the bubbles around.
"What is this aweful feeling?" She asked herself. She put a hand over her stomach. She could feel it lurching forward. She felt sick. She looked at her right hand which had the two bubbles floating with the gem beasts. She stared at them. So calm and safe, bubbled, asleep. She felt anger grow sharp inside her. She grit her teeth again and shoved the blue and pink gem monster into a cage and removed the bubble cover. The beast immediately appeared. Tanzenite smiled a wide wicked smile and held the brown monster's gem to the unbubbled beast. It reared it's head and gave a mighty roar. Tanzenite removed the bubble from.the brown gem and held it tightly in her hand. The monster seemed to be screaming at her. It sounded like it was begging.
Tanzenite held the gem out in front of her in her open palm. The blue monster began groping for it, roaring and shrieking.
"Were you two friends?" The monster roared and scratched the outside of the cage. Desperate.
"I wonder if you were on our side or theirs..." the thought of the war made her stomach area drop again. The thought of Rose Quartz scared her, angered her.
The monster's roared again and brought Tanzenite back. She held the brown gem in her hand and gripped it tightly. Her eyes narrowed, her brow furrowed. Her grip tightening on it, crushing, breaking. She could almost hear the monster begging for life from inside the gem.
she could hear Jasper's old commands.
Shatter her!
Shatter her!
So much death.
The gem cracked in her grasp, then all at once shattered. It felt good, it made her feel better. She saw the light leave the gem as it fell to pieces onto the dirt. The blue gem backed into the furthest part of its cell. Tanzenite dropped the leftover shards onto the dirt and looked at the monster.
"Don't disobey her."
The monster let out a groan and started scratching at the back of the cell.
She walked about five feet away when the feeling returned. She held her stomach and wanted to scream. What was this feeling?!
She turned to the gem monster who was staring her down. It made her uneasy. She turned and went to where Jasper was. Trying to ignore the eyes of that gem and the feeling in her stomach.

Jasper was sitting against the sandstone wall. The sun was hitting her body at an angle that brought out the brilliant orange of her skin. Tanzenite kind of smiled. She held her stomach and walked over and sat by her.

"You had to shatter one didn't you?"
Her voice was even as she spoke.
Tanzenite nodded.
She gave a sideways glance and held onto Jasper's arm. She turned surprised at the little pink gem beside her then smiled.
"The humans have made you soft."
"I'm only as soft as you want me" Jasper frowned, then pulled her close and rested a hand on her shoulder.
"Are you okay?" She asked staring up at the sky.
"I'm not sure... I feel... like something bad is going to happen...."
Jasper chuckled.
"Like what?"
Tanzenite looked down at the ground.
"... I don't know..."
