A few weeks passed and Tanzenite was slowly beginning to see Jasper's confidence return. She smiled when she saw her obviously showing off. She laughed hen she told her jokes, and supported her when she would feel lost again. When that happened all she'd have to do is touch her shoulder and give her a bright smile. Jasper would immediately cheer up and go back to whatever she was doing.
It was on the fifteenth day that Jasper approached Tanzenite with a proposition.
"I want to build an army."
Tanzenite had been watching wild birds peck at an animal carcass and paused, then turned.
"What?" Jasper gave a confident smile to the late morning sun.
"I'm going to take the fight to those Crystal Gem losers and Rose Quartz. Tanzenite felt her stomach lurch. She stood up and put her hands on her shoulders.
"Jasper..." They stared at each other for a very tense Second.
"Let's do it."
A wide grin spread across her face, she hoisted her up and spun her around.
"Excellent the old pair is back together! Wait till they see you in real action!!" Tanzenite laughed but inside she felt dread. She promised to protect Steven, but she promised to protect Jasper first; what had she gotten herself into?
