Chapter 8: She Woke Up

Violet's POV:

Nakatulala lang ako roon. Kahit noong inalalayan ako ni Chad at Pinky pasakay sa ambulansya ay sobrang lutang ang isip ko.

How could I forget about that?

The whole time pala na kinokompronta ni Andrei sina Ms. Kristine ay nahihirapan na si Bebe Chandrea. She was in pain. And yet wala man lang akong nagawa para tulungan siya.

After what felt like long hours, lumabas na ang doktor na nag-asikaso kay Chandrea at sinabing okay na ang lagay ng pasyente. He said that once Chandrea wakes up, call a nurse immediately to perform a few more tests to ensure her safety before allowing her to go home. We thanked him, when he excused himself.

We got Chandrea a private room to stay in. Para makapag-stay din kami rito para mabantayan siya.

I feel so tired, mentally and emotionally.

The last time this happened was when we were only in elementary. She was in 2nd grade nang nakipaglaro siya sa pet naming dog, named Jumper, lame I know. But yeah, she played fetch with Jumper but she got so excited, so she ran with Jumper. She was okay at first kaso mabilis siyang hingalin. We thought that was normal, but no. Minutes later, we found hr clutching her chest an panting fast. We didn't know what to do so we drove to the nearest hospital and there we found out about her heart sickness.

Ever since then, Bebe Chandrea has been home-schooled. She was just so hard-headed para ipilit na gusto niyang mag-aral kasama ang kaniyang mga kasing-edad. Noong una ay hindi pumapayag sina Tito at Tita, because who would, right? Ayaw nilang maulit ang nangyari kay Chandrea when she was just 8 turning 9 years old. Pero ayun na nga, come junior high school, she won. She was able to make her parents say yes to attending school. She pretended to be weak to the point that she was bullied in A.Z.A. The whole family knows. That's probably why Tito Warren decided to give this task to Chandrea. To take her away from her bullies, but little do they know that she'll experience far more worse inside R.E.A.

I still don't know kung ipapaalam ko pa ba ito kina Tito at Tita. I know how Chandrea's mind works. I noticed how she hides her arms from me whenever we would pass by each other sa corridor o minsan sa cafeteria. She was bullied even before this incident. She wouldn't still be inside R.E.A. if she told this to Tito Warren. She worries about her parents about being stressed and all, but how about her? I don't think I could handle seeing her lying on the hospital bed again all because of being bullied. I'll probably just wait for her to wake up. Whatever her answer will be, I'll support her.
