→ "You steal those damn pretzels, I'm gonna ram this cart into you."

"Kurt, don't put those in the car-" I stop myself as he places the bag of pretzel right into the cart and walks away from me.

Me, Kurt, Iris and Rosalie were currently in Trader Joe's. They had good prices, and some pretty good stuff if I do say so myself. It was like five in the afternoon, not that much time passed since the whole, high Dr.smiles thing.

I fed him, and let him watch some tv in my room while I hid out from my mom. Rosalie just left the house for a few hours, Iris stayed in her room listening to old disney songs. And Kurt, he was at his friend's house last night and he got dropped off around the time that Rosalie came back. And then he hatched the idea to go food shopping.

Iris and Kurt were going back to school as of tomorrow. They missed like four days of school? Why was that happening? And mom was letting it happen?

Me and Kurt were in the chip aisle, next to the meat. He was getting grabby, while Iris and Rose were getting frozen foods, and snacks. I didn't usual make dinner, so chips it was. Kurt had at least five bags for himself, that's sick. He's got to get a handle on his cravings.

"Why is mom letting you guys skip school? Or are you suspended for something?" I asked him and he just shrugged his shoulders. Was school not that important to them? How was he planning on getting into a good high school. "Your my only brother, tell me what's going on."

"Mom said it was fine if I wanted to stay home for a few days, see you and Rosalie and stuff. But I'm going back tomorrow. I can't stand being stuck in a house with Iris and Rosalie." He admits fiddling with the chips in the shelves and walking around.

"Aw, are you saying I'm your favorite?! Kurt you little bean! Get all the chips you want." Gushing I ruffled his hair and pushed him over to the chips on the shelf for him to pick out.

I pushed the cart to the end of the aisle and waited for Kurt to return with whatever he had in his hands. And then like a bright light, I saw it. Eli, from the candy store, or from the NYU party. I can't let him see me!! Or, he'd tell my family about my Brooklyn chronicles! It's time to abort mission!

I swung the cart around and made a dash back down the aisle, grabbing Kurt by the collar and pulling him with me. He protested so loud, I think the cashiers could hear him. From there, me and Kurt found Rosalie and Iris at the check out and joined them.

Once there, I stayed behind Rosalie the whole time. While the small kids helped bag the groceries and Rosalie payed. Then I grabbed two bags, so they couldn't say I didn't help, and ran to the car. I put the bags in the back and ran into the backseat and waited for their questions.

When Kurt got into the backseat and Iris sat in the passenger seat I heard Rosalie laugh to herself about something. Then Iris started laughing. I was dead silent in the back, along with Kurt who seemed lost too.

"What?" I asked them but they kept on laughing. "Hello?"

"You ducked out of the store so good, it was like you were on mission impossible! Anna, who did you see?!" Iris cackled, beating up the passenger seat while Rosalie started the car.

"I saw someone who could tell my family about my Brooklyn adventures, that's who. Damn! What is he doing here?" I ranted in the back while Rosalie was putting the car in gear, and bringing to drive off when suddenly Eli came into view. "Holy guacamole!"

Rosalie stopped and hit the breaks, jolting everyone in the car. I bent down in my seat and covered my face with my hands. Maybe if I don't look at him, he'll just walk away. I hear the window roll down,

"My sister Anna Dillard wants to know why you are here, because she doesn't want us to know about all the adventures she had in Brooklyn!" Kurt bravely admits to him, I looked up to see the little booger and he's got a whole smile on his face. And he's eating his chips! That little brat!

"Rosalie drive off or I swear to everything holy I will get you hard!" I shouted to her, and she looked back at me for a moment. Like she was actually deciding wether or not to drive off! "Rose!"

"Alright, relax." She said calmly as she hit the gas and drove out of there.

Let's just say all of Kurt's chips are mine now. I even gave him a purple nurple in the back seat. He deserved for almost starting something I couldn't finish. What if Rosalie didn't drive away? Would he be coming over to my house? Telling my mother about my adventures?

I really have to stop saying that, only did one keg trick. And he wasn't really there for all my adventures. Just the one. I guess him seeing me wasn't really a bad thing. I was nineteen after all, I could do some of what I wanted. To do all that I wanted I'd have to be twenty one.

The drive back home was quick. I helped Rosalie unload the bags because Kurt had run off in fear of me paying him back and Iris ran off to go call someone. Who knows why these kids do what they do. Anyhow, that left me with Rose.

"If you guys were ever to find out about my adventures, I think you'd all go wild. There was this one time I called out the whole job at a party once and I almost got fired." She shrugged it off and walked past me into the house full of bags in her hands.

"What?!" I screamed back grabbing anything to bring back into the house just to follow her inside. "Rose!" I caught up with her at the door when she had to unlock it.

"Anna, I'm not going to tell you anything else, just keep thinking about that." She answered back and opened to door to let us inside. It smelled like flowers and cupcakes. "Mom?" Rosalie called out, but I was already walking in front of her into the kitchen.

It was filled with flour, and some random women was mixing something sweet in a bowl. While a pair of small hands were coming up from behind the table and reaching for the little chocolate kisses scattered around the counter top.

"Um, uh- what's go- who's kid is that? Who are you?- what's this?" I asked her the multiple questions as she cleaned off her fingers and linked hands with the child. She took a short time to answer me back, she looked startled to see me.

"My name is Sonia, I'm a- was a friend of your fathers. You look just like him, it's shocking." She gathered her thoughts as she came over to me and shook my hands. Then she looked at, what I'm guessing was, her child. "This is Carina, my daughter."

I looked at the little girl, now noticing the way her nose crinkled when she looked at me. "I'm Anna Banana." I smiled at her and she laughed at the name.
