Later That Day
Aria's Pov

I sit at the kitchen table, aimlessly twirling my wedding ring around my finger. I listen to the calming sound of the rain outside, that along with Piper and Stella's cartoons coming from the living room. Madden went home about half an hour ago, Caleb picking him up on his way home from work.

Ezra should be home anytime now, if he isn't still out with that blonde bitch he went to lunch with today. I'm not sure what to think of it, I obviously don't want to believe that it's what it seems to be. I mean this is Ezra we're talking about, he would never do something like that, right?

I just can't get the image of him and that woman out of my head, how they were sitting at a table for two, how she seemed to smile and laugh every few seconds, how he looked to be enjoying himself as well. And no matter how much I rack my brain, the lady isn't coming up as someone I recognize.

I hear a car pull into the driveway, signalling that Ezra is home. Immediately, the pitter-patter of Stella and Piper's feet running down the hall and to the front door is heard. Nearly everyday when Ezra gets home, the girls go to window by the door to watch him walk from his car up to the house, then greet him when he gets inside. But before he even opens the door, Ezra goes to the window and presses his hands to the glass where Piper and Stella's are. It's become an everyday thing for them, and washing their handprints from the window has become an everyday thing for me.

"Daddy!" Piper and Stella exclaim in unison as Ezra walks through the door. He scoops both girls up after dropping his things, then kisses their cheeks repeatedly.

"How are my girls?" He smiles, glancing at me. I break our eye contact quickly, staring down at my feet.

"Good!" Piper giggles, beaming at her Dad "I learned a new song in school!"

"Really? Let me hear it!" Ezra encourages.

"Oh mister sun, sun, mister golden sun, hiding behind the trees! These little children are asking you, to please come out so we can play! Oh mister sun, sun, mister golden sun, please shine down on me!" Piper sings loudly, fumbling over some of the words.

"That was wonderful." Ezra tells her, smiling proudly.

"You sing it when the sun won't come out." She explains.

"So like right now?" He asks, looking out the window.

Piper looks outside at the rain "Yeah, like now!"

"Well shall we sing it?" Ezra asks. After receiving an excited nod from our oldest daughter, they start belting out the song. Ezra doesn't know the words, so he follows along the best he can. Stella just watches them, giggling every few seconds. Though the adorable moment is something that would normally fill me with immense happiness, I can't help but think that Ezra was out all day with that girl, then is now coming home to us as if he did nothing wrong. The thought of it makes me sick.

He walks over to me after putting the girls down, leaning in for a kiss. I want to act like everything's fine, to ignore what I saw today, but I just can't shake the thought that Ezra has been seeing another woman. So, I turn my head away before our lips make contact.

"Everything okay?" He asks me.

"Can I talk to you for a minute." I reply dryly.

"Sure, what's up?" Ezra questions.

"No, upstairs." I say as I glance at our daughters. After sending the girls to watch tv in the living room, Ezra and I go up to our bedroom and shut the door behind us.

"Aria, what's going on?" He asks.

I can't help but scoff "Why don't you tell me?"

"I'm sorry?" Ezra scrunches his eyebrows together "What are you talking about?"
