Later That Day
Piper's Pov

I sit at the kitchen table doing my homework, Stella keeping me company. She colours in one of her sketchbooks, humming randomly.

"Piper?" She asks suddenly.

"Yeah Stell?" I reply, a little taken off guard by the unsure tone in her voice.

"Do you think when the babies are born we'll be less important?"

I set my pen down "Of course not, why would you say that? You know Mom and Dad love us so much, more than anything in the world I think. When the babies are born, they'll just have even more love to give."

"But there's two babies," Stella sighs "That's like two more of us. Maybe they only have enough love for two kids, and when the babies are born it will go to them."

"That's ridiculous," I tell her "They'll always love us, even if they have a hundred kids."

"You don't know that." She pouts.

"Yes I do," I say "They still loved me after you were born."

"But you were too young to remember when I was born," Stella retorts "Maybe they stopped loving you when I was born but then started again once I got older."

"Now you're just being ridiculous." I laugh lightly "They've never stopped loving me, and they'll never stop loving you, no matter what."

"Promise?" My younger sister asks, looking up at me with worried eyes.

"I promise." I say reassuringly.

Neither of us say another word for a few minutes, me continuing with my homework and Stella with her colouring, until she puts her markers down and starts taking again.

"How do you be a good big sister?" She asks.

"Um, I'm not really sure how, I think it's one of those things that comes naturally." I tell her "You'll be great at it." It's weird to think that Stella's never been a big sister, although it makes sense why she's so much more nervous than I am for the twins' arrival. Though come to think of it, I can't remember a time that I wasn't a big sister.

"You think so?" Stella's questions "Because I don't know how to be a good big sister right now, so how will I know once the babies are here?"

"I don't really know, I think you just do." I admit.

"Well if I just be like you, then I'll know I'm being a good big sister." She declares. I smile, not really sure how to respond to her words.

"It helps having such a great little sister." I reply with a grin.

Once I'm done my homework, I tell Stella that I'll go to the park down the road with her. It used to be our favourite thing to do when we were younger, but once I got too old for playgrounds, we hardly went anymore. And now that Stella's eight, she's nearly outgrown them as well, although not enough that she doesn't want to go if I offer to take her.

"Let me just go get my sweater!" I call to my sister as I run up the stairs. I grab my grey sweater off my bed, almost turning around and running back out of the room without noticing what's on my window. I go closer to it, realizing it's a piece of folded paper taped to the outside of the glass. My heart plummets as my mind immediately flashes to V. I open my window and reach out to grab the paper, holding it as if it might explode at any second. But as I unfold it, my other more realistic fear is confirmed; it's another note from V.

Here's your chance to come face to face with me!
