There she is. I need to do this now. I don't have much time left—well, I do but that doesn't matter now. I need to talk to this girl named Mika Reyes. I think she's the only one who can help me.

It's a few minutes after school ended, and I am waiting for her here at the waiting shed near our school. I knew she's gonna walk alone now because her best friend isn't around. Gosh, I sounded like a stalker.

She's here.

"Hi. You're Mika, right?" I tried to block her way.

"Yes. Bakit?" she creased her eyebrows.

"I'm Alyssa."

I was fidgeting. Gosh, I'm nervous. I have never done anything like this in my life. I have never talked to girls like this.

"What do you need?" she raised her eyebrow.

"I need your help."

"About?"

"Your best friend; Jessey."

There, I said it! Why did I mention Jessey Laine de Leon? Well, I like her. I have this huge crush on her the first time I saw her. I'm a freshman and she's a sophomore. But who cares?

When I attended this school, I was alone. I don't have any friends because they chose to study somewhere else. But when I saw her walked passed our building, I was mesmerized. Now I think I'm gonna be fine in this new environment.

"You like Jessey?" she was surprised.

"Yes! Please, help me. I just want to be friends with her," I pleaded.

"On one condition."

Mika set her condition; free lunch—every day.

Well, I didn't expect that. I was hesitant at first, but I agreed on it eventually, for Jessey. So she said she'll help me. I was so happy about it that I almost hugged her. I stopped half way though. So I just offered to walk her home and we went off.

The next day, Mika and I planned to meet at the back of the library. No other students are going there so we meet there privately.

"Why do you like Jessey?" she asked immediately.

"She's pretty," I said dreamingly.

"Yun lang? Hindi mo nga alam ang ugali niya eh."

"That's why I wanna know her better. Will you still help me?"

She nodded after that. I just grinned widely at her, that one where my dimples would show below my eyes. 'Whiskers', they said.

She just stared at me for a second and then avoided my gaze. I asked her if she's alright because she looks hot with her cheeks getting a bit red. She just said she's fine, and then she took off.

The back of the library became our meeting place; we go there whenever we're free. We talk about Jessey most of the time. We also got the time to know each other, too.

It's been a week. I knew a lot of things about Jessey. Mika and I got along pretty well; we meet almost every lunch just to hangout and talk about her best friend.

It's Saturday evening when I tried to text her all of a sudden.

[ Mika, simba naman tayo bukas. :) ]

[ Why me? ]

Whoa. She replies fast.

[ I just want to. Sige na, please. ]

[ Okay, fine. See you tomorrow. ]

I came at the church a bit earlier than usual. I am waiting for her outside the church so she won't go inside alone. Just a few minutes, I finally saw her. She's wearing a beautiful floral dress. She looks beautiful.
