They've been together for nine long years.
Mika and Alyssa walked along the beach as they waited for the sunset.
Ever since they visited Palawan, it's been a habit that they would watch the sun get eaten by the sea as the sky darkens.
Hand in hand, they walked the white sands of the beach. Alyssa looked at Mika as her eyes gets to sparkle with the sunlight.
"Upo muna tayo, baka mapagod ka." Mika said.
"Babe, nakaka sampung steps pa lang tayo. 'Wag OA." Alyssa said while panting.
"Huwag OA pero hinihingal ka na. Upo!" Mika commanded.
Alyssa just chuckled and obeyed her overprotective long-time girlfriend. Mika just loves her so much that's why she's being like that.
They took a seat on the sand as they faced the sun. Mika sat behind Alyssa so that Alyssa can lean her back on her. She wrapped her hands around Alyssa as she sniffed Alyssa's scent.
"Babe, do you still remember when I asked you out?" Alyssa asked all of a sudden.
"Yes. How could I forget that day?" Mika chuckled.
"Mi-mika, I-I want to tell you something." Alyssa stuttered in nervousness.
"Hey, calm down. Ano ba ang sasabihin mo?" Mika held Alyssa's shoulder.
"Ahm, ano kasi.. Mika.. I.. whew! Wait.." Alyssa was trembling.
Mika chuckled at the sight of her friend. The famous headturner, Alyssa Valdez, is stuttering and trembling in front of her.
"Don't laugh, please." Alyssa pouted.
"Sorry. Ano na ba kasi yun?" Mika asked again.
"Eto na. Mika Aereen Reyes, the first time I saw you I thought you were a bitch—"
"Hey!" Mika cut her off.
"Wait, listen first. I thought you were..like what I said, sorry. But after knowing you, the real you, I can't help myself but wonder why people are against you, so I started defending you from them and eventually became your friend."
Alyssa breathes in, and then breathes out before speaking again.
"And after being friends with you, I realized some things; I want to see you every day, I want to hear your voice every hour, and I want to know you more and more. So, I just wanted to ask you something."
Alyssa finished as she wiped her forehead full of sweats.
"What is it?" Mika asked calmly.
"WILLYOUPLEASEGOOUTWITHME?"
"What did you say?" Mika didn't get those fast words from Aly.
"I-I said, wi-will.. will you please g-go out with me, Mika?" Alyssa stuttered.
Silence. Mika just smiled.
"Ye—Alyssa!"
Just before Mika could finish saying YES, Alyssa fainted and hit her head on the table.
The next day, Alyssa insisted to continue their first date even if she has a small cut and a band-aid on her head.
Mika just couldn't argue with the so-giddy-Alyssa and agreed eventually.
"That was one of the most embarrassing and the best day of my life." Alyssa smiled.
"It was embarrassing because I fainted after asking you out, that was so epic, but it was the best because that's where we, MikaSa, started."
