"Mika! Mikaaaa!"
Kim barged in haste inside Mika's room early in the morning, holding her smartphone and waving it like a taken prize from the carnival.
"Ano ba, Kimmy! Ang aga-aga mo namang bulabog!" Mika said in a very annoyed tone.
Mika sit up from her bed while rubbing her sleepy eyes.
"Look! Looook!" Kim exclaimed while waving her phone centimeters away from Mika's face.
"Langya ka! Paano ko makikita eh halos ipasok mo sa ilong ko yang cellphone mo!" Mika retorted.
Mika took the phone from Kim's hand and tried to look at it with her sleepy eyes.
Silence.
Her eyes widened.
Why this? I thought she's gonna wear..
Mika turned her gaze at Kim's grinning face with furrowed brow and squinting eyes.
"She's gonna wear jersey no. 9 in 3BB, Mika! Lumalayag ang KimLy! Whoo!" Kim exclaimed.
Mika just rolled her eyes at the sight of an overjoyed Kim dancing inside the room and twerking.
"I knew it! Kami talaga ang end game ni Ly. Noon pa man nafe-feel ko na! Bagay na bagay kami. Skin complexion pa lang meant-to-be na!" Kim said.
What a sight in the morning. Mika thought.
"K-I-M-L-Y! KimLy, baby!" Kim said in a sing-song manner.
"Ewan ko sa'yo! Labas na nga!" Mika blurted.
"Basta, Miks, ikaw ang gagawin kong captain ng KimLy ship ha!" Kim grinned.
"Oo na! Labas na." Mika replied. "Tapos ibabangga ko sa iceberg para lumubog." Mika whispered the last part.
"Ano ulit yun?" Kim asked.
"Wala, sabi ko labas na. Bye!" Mika said as she pushed Kim outside her room.
"KimLy for the win!" Kim shouted one last time.
Mika facepalmed herself.

"Hoy, nognog! Ano na namang pinagsasabi mo kay Mika!?" Alyssa asked as soon as Kim answered her overseas call.
"Hahahaha! Sorry na, sarap kasing asarin ng kapreng yun eh." Kim laughingly said.
"Baliw. Ang aga-aga inasar mo na agad, tsaka ang gandang kapre naman nun." Alyssa said trying to suppress her smile.
"Pero 'di nga, Ly. Bakit bumalik sa sa no. 9? Dahil sa akin 'no?" Kim teased.
"Shut up! 'Wag feeler. Sige na, bye na. Magsisimula na training. Ingatan mo ang Mika ko ha." Alyssa said.
"Yes, baby Ly." Kim said in a sweet tone.
"Ulol. Bye." Alyssa ended the call.
"Why are you wearing no. 9, Alyssa? I thought you're going to pick the no. 15?" the team manager asked.
"I just want to use the jersey number that I used when I was still in higschool, when I was just starting, ma'am. I'm in a new place now; I'm going to start again so I'm going back to where I came from." Alyssa smiled.
"Okay then. Good luck, Alyssa." the manager said before going.
Alyssa took the uniform with the jersey no. 9 and stared at it like it was a very precious jewel.
"I want to go back to where you also used to wear my jersey number, babe." Alyssa whispered.
She took her phone and stared at a photo of a young Mika Reyes wearing jersey no. 2, her college jersey number.
"That 'Reyes' would be a Valdez-Reyes someday." she added.

Mika just came out of her room when she noticed Kim in the living room talking to someone.
"Pero 'di nga, Ly. Bakit bumalik sa sa no. 9? Dahil sa akin 'no?" Kim teased.
Si Alyssa pala kausap niya. Walang kadala-dala 'tong nognog na 'to. Mika thought.
Unbeknownst to her, Kim noticed the she was already in the living room listening to their conversation, so she purposely made fun of Mika again.
"Yes, baby Ly." Kim said in a sweet tone.
Mika fumed.
She took the plastic cup near the table and threw it to Kim's head.
"Aray!" Kim complained.
Mika just turned away and went back to her room smiling, leaving the complaining friend in the living room.
She knows Kim was just kidding but she really gets jealous sometimes.
She just can't help it.
Akin lang si Valdez. Mika thought before entering her room.
