"Anong ginagawa mo dito?" Alyssa asked impolitely after opening her front door, "Hindi ba dapat nagpapahinga ka ngayon?"
"I came here to see you," Mika said as she stepped forward, letting herself in, "I want to see you, ba—"
"Pinapahirapan mo 'ko lalo, Mika!" Alyssa hissed, "Hindi mo ba naiintindihan 'yun?"
Alyssa's jaw clenched as her chest rose and fell in anger as she stepped away from Mika; her hand massaged the bridge of her nose.
"Sa tingin mo ikaw lang ang nahihirapan, Alyssa!?" Mika slammed the door close as she snapped, "Nahihirapan rin ako! Nasasaktan rin ako ng sobra!"
Alyssa stood far from Mika, clenching her fists, "Kaya nga ako umuwi dito sa Batangas para makalayo sa'yo! Tapos—arghh! Fuck!"
Mika was only glaring at her, as Alyssa grabbed her hair in frustration.
Hindi maganda 'to, Alyssa thought.
She sighed a long one and faced the tall girl, "Umuwi ka na, Mika."
Mika's angry tears fell from her face, and Alyssa couldn't take the sight. She hates it when Mika cries and she hates herself more because she couldn't do anything about it.
Alyssa bit her lower lip to stop it from quivering as her tears starts to form in her eyes. She turned away, to avoid Mika's gaze and to not show how pained she was.
She doesn't want to be near Mika because it will hurt her more, hurt them both; she made sure to stay away from the girl but the taller girl was persistent.
"Hi-hindi mo na ba ako m-mahal?" Mika asked in between sobs, "Ayaw m-mo ba a-akong makasama ngayong gabi?"
Alyssa almost snapped her head as she turned to glare at the tall girl but she kept quiet. She walked near Mika and grabbed her hand to walk towards the door.
"Umuwi ka na," Alyssa repeated, "Bumalik ka na—"
Mika pulled her hand from Alyssa's grasp harshly, "Answer me!"
Alyssa stopped on her tracks, clenching her jaw and tries her best to not look affected. Then Mika suddenly started pounding her fists at Alyssa's shoulders.
It hurt Alyssa, but the pain in her heart was far greater than Mika's fists.
"I travelled here alone under heavy rains tapos papaalisin mo lang ako?!" Mika screamed.
"Para rin sa ating dalawa 'to, Mika!" Alyssa bit back but remained being still, "Alam mong hindi na dapat tayo nagkita ngayon."
Mika pounded her fists on Alyssa's chest as the latter winced, "Just say it; look at me straight in my eyes and tell me you don't love me!"
Alyssa raised her hands to stop Mika's fists from hurting her and pushed her in the wall that made her gasped, locking her in Alyssa's arms and looked straight in her greyish eyes.
"Mahal na mahal kita, Mika!" Alyssa gritted her teeth, "Alam mo 'yan! Alam mo kung gaano kita kamahal! Pero—"
Alyssa couldn't take it anymore and let all her tears fall down from her eyes as she buried her face on the crook of Mika's neck, finally giving in, letting her walls crumble down.
