Mika went in the clinic where Alyssa was supposedly taking a rest but she found no one there.

The attending school nurse said the patient immediately went off after waking up.

Mika felt down. She was going to give Alyssa a chance, she was about to face her fears but Alyssa wasn't there anymore.

The next morning, she went to school earlier than she used to, because she knows Alyssa has always been the punctual student.

And she was right; Alyssa was already at school taking her things in her locker.

The hallway was silent because there were still no other students around.

Mika finally gathered up all her courage and swallowed her pride whole and went to Alyssa.

"Alyssa.." Mika trailed off.

Alyssa startled a bit and turned around to where the voice came from.

"Yes? May kailangan ka?" Alyssa replied emotionlessly.

Mika was surprised at Alyssa's reaction. She wasn't used to this kind of Alyssa in front of her.

The glow in her face was gone, the twinkle in her eyes was gone—the cheerful Alyssa that was greeting her every day was gone.

She opened her mouth to speak but she suddenly couldn't utter a word.

The badass chic, Mika Reyes, was out of words for the first time in her life.

She was just staring at Alyssa, and the latter did the same.

"Kung wala kang sasabihin, I'm sorry but I need to go. May gagawin pa ako." Alyssa turned her back and walked away.

Mika was left standing dumfounded alone in the hallway. She felt a sting in her heart.

It hurts her.

Did I hurt her like this in four months? Mika thought.

She knew she turned Alyssa into what she is right now. There's no one to blame but her.

But still, she couldn't take it that Alyssa is like this. She's still Mika Reyes.

"Alyssa!" Mika called her out.

Alyssa turned around but didn't answer. Mika rushed in to her.

"Don't turn your back at me when I want to talk to you." Mika said firmly.

Alyssa just looked at her. Pain and sadness were visible in her eyes now.

"It's funny," Alyssa whispered. "because as I remember, that's what you've been doing to me for the past four months."

Mika was taken aback at that statement from Alyssa. It's true; that's what she's been doing to Alyssa.

"But—"

"Pagod na ako, Mika. Gusto ko nang magpahinga." Alyssa said as she turned around and leaves again.

Mika knew what it meant.

Two weeks passed and everything has changed. The usual morning routine of Alyssa greeting Mika in the hallway and the waiting game outside her classroom was history.

No more chocolates. No more roses.

No more sticky notes. No more Alyssa.

Mika was definitely missing her, especially when Alyssa stopped 'bothering' her and was enjoying Den's company instead.
