"Hey, stop bullying her!" a five-year-old Alyssa shouted as she spread her arms so wide as she was trying to protect the girl who was crying behind her.
"What? Are you feeling big enough to beat me?" the seven-year old boy said.
"Uhmp!" Alyssa punched the boy's tummy.
"Ouch! You little brat, my turn!" and with a blink of an eye, Alyssa was on the ground with a bloody nose.
But she didn't cry at all, she just glared at the boy who was laughing satisfyingly at Alyssa and the little girl. The boy and his bully friends left them right after.
"Are you okay?" Alyssa turned around and kneeled when she asked the girl who buried her face between her knees.
The little crying girl, whom Alyssa thought having the same age as her, looked up. Alyssa grinned widely at the girl, while the blood on her nose was still dripping.
"Uwaaaaaah waaaaaah!" the little girl cried louder this time.
"Wa-wait, why are you crying? I-Is there, is there something wrong? Are, are you hurt?" Alyssa panicked.
"Yo-your no-nose is be-bleeding." the little girl answered between sobs.
"It's okay. My dad said I have to be strong. I wanna be like Superman when I grow up. Superman doesn't cry."
Alyssa said as she made a pose; putting both of her fists on her waist and puffed her chest out. Blood from her nose is still dripping though.
She tried to wipe it with the back of her hand but the little girl just chuckled after seeing Alyssa's face—dried blood was on her cheek.
"Stop crying na, please." Alyssa wiped the little girl's tears.
"I wanna be strong, too." the little girl muttered.
"Be my Wonderwoman then." Alyssa grinned as she offered her hand to little girl.

*BUZZZZZ BUZZZZZ BUZZZZZ*
Damn alarm clock.
Ugh, it's the same dream again. It's been what? Twenty years, but I still dream of her from time to time. That little girl from the park—I never saw her again after we parted that day but the dreams are still keeping up with me.
"Alyssa, hija. Hinahanap ka na ng daddy mo." yaya Nene said.
"Okay, yaya." I nodded at her.
"Uwi ka na? You're gonna leave me?" the little girl asked while she was still holding my hand.
"Uhm, yeah. My dad is looking for me na eh." I answered.
She looked sad and tears were forming at the corners of her eyes again.
"Hey, don't cry. Here, wear this." I took the necklace I am wearing and I put it on her neck.
"That's where I get my powers. You will be strong, because you're now officially my Wonderwoman." I said.
She took the pendant and examined it. It was Superman's symbol. You know, the diamond-shaped logo with the letter 'S'.
The little girl smiled as she held the pendant so tight as I was waving goodbye.
"See you tomorrow, Superman!"

"Watch out, Superman!" someone shouted and the next I knew a pillow hit my face snapping me back to reality."Ow!" I hissed. Someone is annoying me this early. What a life.
