"Alyyy! Alyssa!"
A running and panting Ara was calling out along the school hallway, behind her was Kim.
"What?" Alyssa answered coldly.
"Sungit." Kim snickered.
"May itatanong lang ako." Ara said as she holds her knees and catch up her breath.
"What?" Alyssa asked in a bored tone.
"Classmate mo si Reyes sa isang subject, di'ba?" Ara asked with twinkling eyes.
"So?" Alyssa started to walk.
Ara and Kim followed their friend.
Alyssa is always like this, the cold and bored one while Ara and Kim were the noisy and jolly ones.
People are still wondering why they're best friends.
"Maganda siya." Ara confessed.
Alyssa stopped on her tracks and faced her best friend with squinting eyes.
Kim bumped her nosed in Alyssa's back because of the sudden halt.
"So?" Alyssa raised her eyebrow.
"Ipakilala mo raw siya next week." Kim said while rubbing her nose.
Ara grinned and nodded. Alyssa pursed her lips and furrowed her brow.
"No." she said and started to walk again.
"Bakit naman? Please, Ly. Ikaw lang ang kilala kong may connection sa kanya." Ara pleaded.
Connection? Alyssa wondered.
"I said no." Alyssa retorted.
Ara pursed her lips and frowned. She stopped walking and was left behind a few steps away from Alyssa and Kim.
The latter noticed that her best friend wasn't following them so she stopped as well.
Alyssa took a long breath.
"I'll try."
"Talaga?!" Ara exclaimed.
Alyssa just shakes her head, rolled her eyes and started to walk again. Kim followed while laughing, leaving Ara in a wondering state.
"Hey, it's weekend na. Tambay tayo kina Kim!" Ara said while chasing her best friends.

After the weekend, a tall short-haired girl approached Alyssa sitting alone in the room with her headphones on and doodling in her notebook.
"Uhm.. A-Alyssa."
Alyssa felt someone was near her so she looked up and saw a beaming girl in front of her, so she took off her headphones.
"Yes?" Alyssa answered.
"Thi-this is for y-you."
Alyssa, with a blank expression, took the box of white chocolate from the girl.
She was confused.
Why would someone give her chocolates? She frowned at the box and looked up again, but the girl was gone.
Have a nice day. Smile. –Mika
No one has ever given her chocolates; everyone seems to be aloof of her or afraid to be even in her way.
But, just now, someone did.
Alyssa stood up and put the chocolates on her bag with a sheepish smile.
