Magnus and alec are snuggling on the couch, alecs head in magnus's lap while reading a book and magnus is rubbing his hair, trying to ignore spongebob that is blaring from the TV that their son is sitting close to.
"Rafeal, you shouldn't sit that close to the tv." Alec says, looking at him from over his book.
"But I have to be able to see it."
"Back up anyway."
Rafeal backs up as the doorbell rings. Alec walks over to answer it.
"Cat." He says as she walks in. "It's great to see you."
She sits down in the armchair and says, "I need to talk to you two."
"Ok." Magnus says as alec sits back down next to him and takes his hand.
"We have a set of twins dropped off at the hospital today, if we can't find them a home together, they are going to be split up."
"Why are you having such a hard time keeping them together?"
"Well, the girl is a shadowhunter and the boy is a warlock."
"How is that even possible?" Alec asks.
"We don't know. The mother died giving birth and the father can't be found."
"How long til they get split up?" Magnus asks.
"They will have to stay in the hospital for three days, after that they will be split up."
"We will talk about it and let you know."
"Ok." Cat says, leaving.

"Hey, cat." Magnus says, walking into her office, followed by alec. "You busy?"
"Of course not."
"We talked all last night and we decided to take the babies."
"That's great. Would you like to meet them?"
"Yes." Alec says, excited as cat walks out.
About ten minutes later she walks back in with two small bundles in her arms. She hands one to magnus and one to alec.
Magnus pulls the blanket back and sees the most beautiful little girl, she has black hair just like alecs, her eyes not quite as dark blue are shining up to at him.
The boy in alecs arms has blue skin the same color as his sisters eyes. His eyes just a shade darker.
"What are we going to name them?" Alec asks magnus.
"Well, I was thinking about maxwell Alexander and magdaline sophia."
"I love it." Alec says, kissing magnus.

"What is the emergency?" Izzy asks, running in the loft followed by jace, clary, simon and Maryse.
"I never said anything about an emergency." Alec says.
"Then why did you call us over?" Jace asked, annoyed.
"To meet the newest members of the family." Alec says, handing magdaline to maryse and max to izzy.
"They are so beautiful." Clary says, looking at them. "What are their names?"
"Maxwell Alexander and magdaline sophia."
"It's perfect." Izzy says, smiling.
