"Where are we going?" Magdaline asks alec while magnus prepares the portal to the Institute.
"We are going to idris."
"Why?"
"You are going to meet your grandfather."
"Oh ok." She says, taking his hand as they all step through the portal.

They all step through the portal into the garden of the inquisitors residence. Robert is waiting for them. He hugs everyone then turns to alec and says, "I'm glad you came."
"I'm hoping I don't regret it." Alec answers.
"Let's all go inside."
Magnus walks up beside alec, takes his hand and smiles at him reassuringly.
"Are you sure we are doing the right thing?" Alec asks.
"Yes, i do." Magnus says as they follow everyone inside.
Once they are all settled in the living room with the three kids playing on the floor.
"You have wonderful children." Robert says to alec.
"Thanks."
"Has Rafeal began his training yet?"
Before anyone can answer, Rafeal says, "yes, I have. I am learning the coolest stuff." He says, climbing on roberts lap. "Daddy is teaching me to use the bow, uncle jace is teaching me to use a sword because he is better at that then daddy but we aren't supposed to tell him." He says as everyone laughs. "Aunt izzy is teaching me how to kick people which is very cool, aunt clary is showing me how to draw runes, then grandma is teaching me all about the laws which is the most boring but I know I have to learn it so I can be a great shadowhunter just like the rest of the family."
"It sounds like you are doing great." Robert says, hugging Rafeal.
Alec smiles at magnus, laying his head on his shoulder smiling at their son.
