"Alexander." Magnus says when alec sits straight up in bed and gasps for breath. "What's wrong?"
"It's jace." He says, reaching for his phone with a shaking hand.
"Is he hurt?"
"I don't know. I've never felt anything like this through our parabatia bond. " He says, trying for a third time to dial jaces number but failing.
Magnus takes the phone and pushes jaces number and hands alec back his phone, alec giving him a grateful smile.
"Alec." Izzy says, answering the phone. "Get here now." She says, hanging up the phone before he can respond.
Alec hangs up the phone with a panicked look at magnus. Magnus quickly snaps them in clothes and goes to get the kids.

They all step through the portal at the Institute and alecs runs to the infirmary and magnus takes the kids to alecs room.
"Izzy." Alec runs up to her. "What's wrong?"
"Clary is in labor. Jace needs you."
Alec takes a deep breath and walks in the infirmary.

Alec is looking out the window, holding his niece. He feels a hand on his shoulder.
"How's clary?" Magnus asks, pulling the blanket away from her face, revealing red hair and golden eyes.
"Sleeping."
"How's jace?"
"Being treated for a concussion since he hit his head when he passed out."
Magnus chuckles and says, "have they named her?"
"Jocelyn clare."
"Now that is a powerful name." Magnus says, rubbing her head.
