"Izzy." Alec yells, pounding on her bedroom door.
"Alec, what's wrong?"
"I've lost max."
"Alec how did you lose your child?"
Alec runs his hands through his hair and says, "I put him in my bed to take a nap then I went to train with jace and when I went back to check on him, he was gone."
"Maybe he woke up and just decided to go explore."
Alec pales and says, "by the angel, izzy, you know how confusing the hallways of the institute can be."
"It's ok." She says, laying her hand on her brothers shoulder. "We will find him." She says as they both leave her room to go find the others to help look.

When the five shadowhunters meet back in the library, alec looks around at them and asks, "No one found him?" When they all shake their heads he says, "now what do I do?"
"Maybe you should call Magnus?" Izzy suggests.
"Are you kidding me, iz, what am I supposed to tell him that I lost our son? I think that might just get me divorced. We just have to find him." He says, leaving to library followed be everyone else.

As is searching the entrance hall, the front door opens and Magnus walks in.
"Biscuit, what are you doing?"
"Um, alec lost something, so we are helping him look for it."
"Tell me what it is and I can help you look."
"You know what, its not here." She says, walking away, leaving Magnus standing by the door alone.
Magnus shakes his head then walks further into the institute. As he walks into the ops center, he notices everyone running around.
"What is going on?" He asks, catching up with Izzy. "What is everyone looking for?"
"Magnus, um. Alec lost something."
"Yeah, I got that from clary. What did Alexander lose?"
"Maybe you should ask him."
Magnus turns toward alecs office and is followed by everyone.
"Alexander." Magnus says, walking into the office. "Will you please tell me what you have lost that you have everyone turning the institute upside down?"
"Magnus, honey." He says sitting down on the couch with his husband. "I don't know how to tell you this."
"Just tell me."
Alec takes a deep breath and says, "I lost max."
Before Magnus can answer, jace walks into the office and in his arms is the small blue skinned warlock.
"Where did you find him?" Alec says, rushing up to jace.
"He was up in the rooftop garden alseep." Jace answers, handing max to alec.
As alec is hugging max, Magnus looks at Izzy and says, "can you guys give us a minute?"
"Sure." She says, taking max from alec as they all leave.
"Alexander, when was you going to tell me you couldn't find max?"
"I was hoping we woulve found him before you found out."
"Alexander, that is our son, you should've called me, I could've helped you look for him."
"You're not mad?"
"Oh, I'm mad." He says, flashing his cat eyes. "But I'm more relieved that max is ok."
Alec releases a breath then when he leans in to kiss Magnus, he stops alec and says, "You are being punished." He says, walks out of the office, leaving alec standing in the middle of the room, watching him.
