"Cat, I think I'm dying." Magnus says when his friend answers the phone.
Cat sighs and says, "I don't think you are dying."
"Yes I am."
"Ok. I will be there shortly and see what's wrong."
"I will try to hold on til you get here." Magnus says, dramatically, hanging up the phone.

"Ok, magnus." Cat says, walking up to him where he is laying on the couch. "What's wrong?"
"I told you, I'm dying. If I don't make it, tell Alexander I love him."
Cat rolls her eyes and says, "Magnus, before we plan your funeral, let's see if we can figure out what's going on."
"Ok, if you insist."
Cat summons what she needs for the examination. She takes all his vital signs then starts doing a magical scan of everything else. She stops and smiles at him.
"Give it to me straight, how long do I have?"
"You are not dying. You are pregnant."
Magnus looks at her with his mouth hanging open. "How is that even possible?"
"Well, you know how there has always been the rumor that shadowhunters make warlocks fertile?"
"Yeah."
"Well it seems it's true."
"Ok. I will by that. But I'm a man."
"Well, have you and alec tried anything new in the bedroom recently?"
"Yeah, a couple of months ago."
"Did you lose control of your magic?"
"Yeah but just for a few moments."
"It seems that you were really into whatever you were doing and your magic decided to make it possible for you to conceive and carry a child."
Magnus sits still stunned then says, "I have to go talk to Alexander." Magnus says, leaving.

Alec looks up from his desk as he hears a knock on his office door.
"Hey." He says, smiling at magnus.
"Hey. You got a time to talk?"
"I always have time to talk to you." Alec says, walking around his desk and sitting on the edge, magnus walks up to him, leaning against his chest.
"I have something to tell you."
"Ok." When magnus takes a deep breath and seems unable to continue, alec lifts his chin and says, "Come on, mags, what is it?"
Magnus closes his eyes and says, "I'm pregnant."
"What?"
Magnus tells him everything that cat said, then looks into alecs eyes, trying to read his reaction. When he thinks alec is going to react badly, his face breaks into a huge smile and he pulls magnus into a bone crushing hug.
"Alexander, I can't breath."
"I'm so sorry." Alec says, loosening his grip slightly. "Did I hurt you or the baby?"
"No. We are both fine."
"Good." Alec says, kissing him.

"I'm glad you two could meet me." Alec says, walking up to a table at java jones and sits down.
"What's this about, shadowhunter?"
"Ragnor." Cat says. "Be nice."
Alec takes a deep breath and says, "you two are the closest magnus has to family so I want to ask for magnus's hand in marriage."
Cat smiles at alec and says, "you have my blessing."
Alec looks at ragnor with a hopeful expression.
"You have my blessing only under one circumstance, don't break his heart."
"I wouldn't dream of it."

"Cat." Magnus says, trying to adjust his tie. "I don't think I can do this."
"Do what?" She asks, fixing his tie.
"Be a husband and a father."
"Well, you are going to be a father, you can't stop that. As for being a husband, you don't have to go through with this, you can just leave alec."
Magnus, looking about to faint at that thought, says, "I could never do that." He says as they hear the music start.

"Alexander." Magnus says while him and alec are cuddling on the couch and alec is rubbing his stomach.
"Yeah."
"You would do anything for me and the baby. Right?"
"Of course I would. Why?"
"Well, your child has decided that I should have a weird craving."
"Ok. What?"
"Peanut butter, pickle and onion sandwich."
Alec wrinkles his nose and says, "That's disgusting."
"But that's what I want."
"I thought the baby wanted it."
"Does it matter who wants it?" Magnus snaps.
Alec holds up his hands in surrender and says, "no. No. It doesn't matter." He says, leaving to get what magnus wants.
An hour later....
"This is delicious." Magnus says, taking a bite of his sandwich while Alec is just looking at him, trying not to look too disgusted at what is husband is eating.

"I didn't think those demons would ever die." Jace says, slipping his sereph blade back in his belt as izzy retrieves her wip and alec is picking up his arrows.
"I know, me either." Alec says as his phone rings. "Oh no, it's cat." He says, a look of panic on his face.
Izzy takes his phone and answers it.
"Hey, cat."
"Tell alec to get home now, magnus is in labor." Cat says, hanging up the phone.

"Cat." Alec says, running in.
"He's ok. I put a spell on him to make him sleep."
"I didn't think he could go into labor."
"I said he shouldn't. I'm going to put him in a deeper sleep that is just going to be just like being put under for surgery so I can do a c-section."
"Will he be ok?"
"He will be fine." She says, laying her hand on his cheek and walking back to magnus.

Alec looks up at his siblings as they hear the shrill cry of a healthy baby from the bedroom. Cat walks out with a small bundle and up to alec.
"Meet your daughter."
Alec pulls the blanket back and is speechless. He gently rubs the baby's head and smiles to himself.
"How's magnus?"
"He's still sleeping. I will let you know when he wakes up."
"Thanks for everything, cat."
She smiles at him and asks, "what are you guys going to name her?"
"Magdaline sophia." He says still not able to take his eyes off his daughter.
