"I am loving my birthday so far." Magnus says, pulling alec closer.
"You are." Alec says, rolling over on top of him.
"Yes."
"If I had known this is all it took to make you happy on your birthday." Alec says, kissing him. "I wouldn't have bought you a gift."
"You, Alexander, are all the gift I need."
Alec leans down to kiss magnus and suddenly has the wind knocked out of him.
"Hi, papa." Magdaline says from over alecs shoulder. "Hi, daddy."
"Magdaline, honey, how did you get here?" Magnus asks.
"If made a portal." Max answers from over alecs other shoulder.
"We are all here." Rafeal says from behind alecs head.
Alec grins at magnus, kissing him then he rolls off him making the kids fall between them on the bed.
"Does your aunt izzy know you are here?" Before any of the kids can answer, alecs phone rings. "I'm guessing that since she is calling me that she doesn't know." He says, answering the phone. "Hey, izzy."
"Alec, I don't know how to tell you this."
"What is it?"
"I can't find the kids."
Alecs laughs and says, "It's ok, they are here with us."
"They are?"
"Yeah, max portaled them right into our bed onto my back."
"You don't sleep on your stomach ."
"I wasn't sleeping."
"Were you and magnus...?"
"Not at that moment, no."
"Good t least you didn't scar your children." Izzy says, hanging up the phone.
"Come on, daddy." Magdaline says, tugging on alec's hand. "Let's all go make papa breakfast in bed for his birthday."
Alec looks at magnus and he snaps his fingers so that they are both fully clothed as the kids pull alec out of the room while magnus snuggles under the cover, surrounded by the warmth that his family left behind.
