Ravil shut his laptop and looked up at Leopold, who had returned to his crossword puzzle.

"Did you send the investigators to Lubyanka?" Ravil queried.

Leopold glanced up, peering at Ravil over his glasses. "Yes. I'll let you know if-"

"Yeah, you better." Ravil threatened, somewhat irritated at Leopold's mantra of "I'll let you know, I'll notify you."

Leopold blinked and wrote something in the crossword book, but said nothing.

"How long will I be here?" Ravil queried, slowly growing tired of the white hospital walls and bland food.

"They wanted you to be here for two weeks." Leopold answered.

"Then I've still got a week and a half left," Ravil muttered. "Shame. Seen Nazar lately?"

"He's been at the Kremlin," Leopold explained. "Holding down the fort, I suppose you could say."

Ravil shut his eyes for a moment, imagining Nazar trying to keep things in pristine order at the Kremlin. The image he saw was not very pleasing.

"Did you ever find out who bombed the Kremlin in the first place?" Ravil opted for a slight change of subject. "Because I still think it was the FSB."

"They've found evidence to support your theory," Leopold answered, writing something else down.

"See? Your president's got a brain," Ravil smirked. Then a certain worry dashed into his gaze. "Any sign of Artem?"

"Not yet," Leopold said. "Sending some FSO guys and detectives to Lubyanka this evening to search the building-"

"You'll let me know?" Ravil resisted the urge to roll his eyes and scoff.

Leopold grinned and scratched his head. "Yes, sir."
