Artem did not eat. He sipped of water only when migraines told him to, and slept only when he felt he could bear the dull horrors of the waking world no longer. Even sleep offered no relief. Waking up without Ravil beside him was like a knife in his chest, and often he spent hours staring at the spot in the bed where Ravil would've been, eternally contemplating how this could've happened, and what he should've done. Briefly he wished he could've brought Ravil back from the dead somehow. But alas, it was impossible.
Rolling onto his back in the bed, Artem questioned the reality of Ravil's death as a whole. Could it all have been a nightmare? No- that had already been disproved.
He sighed. If Ravil wasn't dead, where could he be? If Ravil wasn't dead, how had any of this happened?
Artem was running in circles. With no lingering concern for the outside world, he shut his sapphire eyes and slept.
