"Are those bastards gone yet?" Ravil snarled.
"The bastards are leaving," replied the accompanying FSO officer, almost chuckling. "You'll be able to get out of this bunker soon, Mr. President."
Artem glanced over at Ravil and grinned. "Excellent word choice, moy solnyshka."
Ravil grinned back at him. "I try."
Lowering his voice, Artem queried: "Were you able to get a hold of Dimitri?"
Ravil shook his head. "Didn't answer his phone. I'll retry later."
Artem shrugged. "You think he might be in Emelyan's army?"
"His job position says he is," Ravil answered. "It's questionable, since he got me out of the bunker and everything. I think he'd join the squadron if I could just talk to him."
Artem nodded, understanding.
"As soon as we can leave and go above-ground again," Ravil began, "I'm going to try to call him again. We've got to do this, got to get this squadron put together. I won't have another attempt on either of our lives. I'm done playing games with the FSB."
