Artem had Myron's paintings taken out of Saint Michael's Castle and replaced them with Ravil's presidential portrait. Artem noticed with a chill that one of Myron's old portraits had a gash in the middle. He shuddered and imagined Ravil stabbing the canvas in a rage. Artem blinked and shook the image from his head.
In the days after Ravil's funeral, he had spent a lot of time in his late husband's office, observing, learning the layout, issuing orders and decrees wherever he could reach out beyond Leopold's makeshift reign. He tried to figure out Ravil's thought processes by analyzing everything- desk set-up, computer security, organization, everything. He wanted to find Ravil's mindset and dwell in it, under the hope that doing so might help him uncover some kind of clue.
He took a moment to message some of the investigators who he'd sent to work on the case. Found any leads?
Blinking and looking up, Artem sat in silence and waited for a response.
