Artem watched in complete horror as the investigators started to turn around and shuffle their way out of the bunker, leaving.
He was alone now, truly alone. Even Ravil had forsaken him. Not sure whether to be enraged or forlorn, he blinked tears from his gaze.

Artem clenched his fists and resisted the urge to attack his father.
Hilarion removed the knife from its spot near Artem's throat, and they dwelled in that familiar cold silence as Hilarion ushered his son back into one of the cells.
The door slammed shut, and Artem sank into darkness. He closed his eyes.
He left me behind.
I'm done for.
