Ravil had long since abandoned the knife and was now plotting to liberate Artem from the Lubyanka bunker. On his laptop screen was a map of the bunker, and he was also recording audio, video, and digital evidence from Lubyanka. After seeing Artem with a knife to his throat, he'd gone out of his way to secure his laptop to ensure no FSB agents would know of his plotting until it was too late.

First, Ravil needed to figure out which cell they had Artem in, so he reviewed security footage and found the point where Artem had been taken back to his cell after Leopold had left. Ravil took a mental note of the cell number and surrounding details.

Then he loaded a map of Lubyanka's vent schematics. The vents would be his mode of transportation, and he recalled when he'd first been trained to use them. He perused the schematics, observing all the possible entrances, and then the paths he could use to get to Artem's cell. The hardest part, he noted to himself, would be getting in and out of the vents, and doing so without being noticed. An ideal entrance point would be in a bathroom, and then he would have to disable the security cameras all over the building...

Ravil took a deep breath and wrote down a tentative plan.

1. Get into Lubyanka, disguised.

2. Enter the vents through a bathroom.

3. Hack into the security cameras, and disable them.

4. Use the vents to get into Artem's cell.

5. Get out.

Ravil frowned. The fifth and last step could involve climbing down the side of the building. Any way they did it, it had to be done so that no one saw them leaving. This would include keeping the security cams disabled. He knew Artem probably wouldn't be able to climb down the building, so he would have to devise some other way of escape. He'd have Leopold park a car by a window, and then Ravil and Artem would leave the vents and arrive on the first floor, then they'd jump out a window and get in the car. And then, Ravil would scream at Leopold to floor it and get back to the Kremlin.

Hm, Ravil thought, spotting flaws already. He resolved to make some revisions.
