Ravil retreated back to the upper stories of the castle and checked the security cameras for any evidence of Leopold's presence. When he found nothing, he approached the nearest window and opened it, then screamed out of it. His voice crackled with an electric anger. Towards Nazar. towards the FSB. Swallowed by his vexations once again, he sent papers, keyboards, and miscellaneous other objects flying. He then sank to the floor. After a few moments, he took a deep breath in a feeble attempt to steady himself.
His mother, Alina, was dead. Artem had been captured. Nazar was a spy, a traitor.
Ravil stood and pushed back the tears that were forming in his vision, then descended to the tunnels again and found Nazar. The drugs should've worn off by now...
He threw open the door to Nazar's cell and found that the young dark-haired man had untied himself. In a flurry of rage, Ravil kicked him between the legs and pinned him against the nearest wall.
"Where is he?" Ravil screeched, glasses flashing.
"Who?" Nazar shouted back, alarmed and in pain.
"Artem," Ravil growled. "Where is he?"
Nazar fumbled for an answer, but his head was still foggy. He winced as Ravil's hands found his scarred throat.
"Tell me where he is or I will kill you," Ravil threatened.
Panic kicked in. Nazar could barely breathe, and he flailed.
Ravil tightened his grip around Nazar's throat. "Tell me, goddammit!"
Nazar shook. "I can't,"
"Why. Not." Ravil snarled.
"They said I couldn't," Nazar whimpered.
Ravil snapped. With a scream, he sent Nazar flying, lunging at him without restraint. His fists pounded Nazar's ribs almost relentlessly.
"Stop!" Nazar cried.
"Tell me where he is!" Ravil screeched in reply.
Nazar was losing his grip on consciousness, on reality.
Ravil pushed him against the wall again, then revealed the gun given to him by the FSO. He pressed it to Nazar's temple, evoking a shuddering cry from him.
"Where is he?" Ravil's voice was low and menacing. "I'm not afraid to kill you."
Nazar spoke. "H-he's at L-Lubyanka, they've got him at Lubyanka,"
Ravil lowered the gun slightly.
"It's the t-truth, I s-swear to God," Nazar stammered. "P-please don't, don't kill me,"
"Hah. Give me a reason not to." Ravil cocked his head, smirking. "In all truth, I should've fed you to the dogs like I did with Taras."
"D-dogs..." Nazar murmured, still trembling.
"Luckily for you, I promised Artem I wouldn't do that again," Ravil said. The gun clicked.
Nazar fell into a frenzy. "Please, p-please don't shoot me,"
Ravil pulled the trigger and turned away, leaving the room as Nazar's body fell to the floor.
