Ravil was checking the Kremlin security cameras when he got the message.

It was a text from Artem. Check the news. They think you're insane!

Ravil shifted to the Internet browser on his personal phone, which he'd thoroughly secured since the start of his suspicions concerning Leopold. He checked the news, and his jaw dropped.

President Takaryev- a psychopath in office?

Should Ravil Takaryev be in a mental institution?

Ravil Takaryev: President or psychopath?

Upon reading the articles, Ravil found that some general from the FSO had told the press that Ravil was, well, a psychopath. He'd mentioned Ravil's past hacking into the Department of Defense, the scars on his arms (which had been a result of Cyril Gavrilov's assassination attempt, not self-harm), and several other details that weren't true, but would surely convince the public.

He texted Artem back. What do we do? Where are you, anyways?

The reply was nearly instant. Dining room. Leopold isn't here, so I was going to eat lunch.

Ravil answered. On my way.

Making sure he still had his FSO-issued gun, he left the office and set a course for the dining room.

As he shut the door behind him, Artem texted him again.

You're not a psychopath, are you?
