Spurred into action by the sudden appearance of investigators at Lubyanka, Paramon was moving Artem to a different, more secure cell.
As they turned down the hall, Artem mustered up the grit to dig his heels into the floor. This earned him a swift elbow to the ribs by Paramon.
"Walk," Paramon ordered. "Or I'll ensure that you never screw Ravil ever again."
Artem winced and cooperated. He wasn't sure what exactly Paramon had meant by that, but he didn't want to think about it. So he walked.
Paramon ushered him down the hallway and threw him into a dim-lit cell. He was left to sit in the dark and ponder his unfortunate fate as Paramon chained his hands to the ceiling. Then the door shut, and Artem was left utterly alone.
Meanwhile, Paramon ventured back up the stairs to face the investigators.
