That Saturday evening all were gathered together in Doyoung's living room, because Taeil's family didn't have a TV and Jae was sweating all over while he was sitting on the couch feeling his best friends' arms pressed to his shoulders.
The advertisements were very long but finally they had finished and the most popular celebrity talk show overseas started.
The host was a cheerful chubby man with a wide smile and juicy jokes so the audience was crying from laughter. First they presented an interview with a guy who made a youtube channel about a dancing goose what brought millions of views in a night.
"The world is going down, that's why people with talent have no chance nowadays, because every idiot can become an internet celebrity," complained Doyoung.
"Maybe we should start a flea circus, and teach them how to cook?" proposed Ten.
He was in a outstanding mood as he had passed all his exams and his grades weren't worse than Taeyong's, unfortunately little Sicheng needed to repeat music theory before the end of the year and Doyoung spent each afternoon in his dorm preparing him for the retake the exam.
"He can pass, at least he failed one and not 7 like Hansol," was saying Doyoung each time he was staying over at Taeil's after a lesson with Sicheng, more to convince himself than anyone else. "He's not stupid, he just knows too less words to understand and answer the questions," Doyoung was shaking his head an complaining.
The news about Hansol's major failure had spread along the school and now he was the lough of all including juniors.
But the man with the goose moved from the couch on the screen and Jae concentrated his attention back on it. To his disappointment a famous actress came in and the next half an hour she was talking about her dating life and the new film.
But after the next super long advertisement break the man smiled wider.
"And now, a star who became a sensation in his own country selling the record amount of albums, ten million copies worldwide of two albums, welcome the rap genius Lee Taeyong known under his stage name TY," shouted the man and the fangirls in the studio made a huge noise.
Some jumped up and started to cry what made Ten giggle.
The wall behind the couch opened and Jae dug his nails in Doyoung's knee causing him to hit his hand.
A moment later the guest of the night appeared and Jae opened his mouth wider not able to recognize him at first.
Taeyong was wearing crazy punk rock clothes and red shoes to glittering black jeans and a rather feminine shirt, and there was a neckband with brads around his neck, but what made Jae's stomach move in all directions were his hair. All the beautiful fluffy brown strings were gone replaced by an edgy hairstyle in a white color with violet glitter.
"He looks awful," said Doyoung speaking Jae's mind and Ten burst out into uncontrollable laughter and couldn't stop.
"Hello," said the host and Taeyong bowed to the audience and sat on the couch smiling wide.
"Hello," he said.
Ten was choking with his own laugh while Jae blinked a few times hoping the image in front of him will change but it didn't.
"It's a brand new style," said the man and the audience shouted loud.
"From time to time something fresh is pretty cool," Taeyong grinned and Jae heard Ten choking on the word 'fresh' when he nearly fell off the couch.
"Fresh? I bet your pardon you should kill your stylist," said Doyoung and Taeil giggled.
"Hair nice, like pink more," said Sicheng and Jae realized there's one person in the room who liked Taeyong's new style.
"It's the record company I can't imagine him wearing this without being forced," said Doyoung.
But Jae shushed him raising his hand as the two on screen continued.
"The new album was a little different than the first one, milder, the lyrics about love were a surprise for your fans," said the man.
"Oh, I just write about my life, so each album describes the phase I'm in when it's created," said Taeyong who was still smiling.
"How would you describe the phase right now?" asked the man and Taeyong turned to the camera.
"In love," he said. "Definitely in love."
The fans screamed and the host slid to the edge of his desk.
"Does in love mean the music and your fans or a special person?" he asked and Jae felt heat in his insides.
Taeyong bit his lower lip for a moment till he turned his covered in deep dark eyeliner eyes towards the camera again.
"I've met someone," ha said smiling.
The fans reacted with cries and screams.
"What do you mean you've met someone, do I understand it right, there is someone special in your life?" asked the man getting even closer to the couch.
"Yes," Taeyong nodded.
"Is it just getting to know each other or more? Oh your fans are dying to know," said the man.
"Yes the fans are in agony right now," Doyoung couldn't hide his sarcasm.
Some girls were crying so hard their friends needed to hold them in their chairs.
"It's something really special, very deep, I'm in a relationship," said Taeyong sending an apologetic smile to the hysterical audience.
"Oh," the host glanced at Taeyong and tried to keep a straight face.
"Tell us more about it, is she... is she from the industry, do we know her?"
"Actually, I've never said it's a girl," said Taeyong grinning widely and Jae felt how Taeil grabbed his hands that were shaking uncontrollably.
Hi, thank you so much for all the support, I can't believe there are 3 more chapters of this book left, but I hope you will enjoy them as much as I enjoyed writing it.
So what do you think about the chapter? As most of you have guessed Taeyong really decided to confess his love to Jae on TV, what do you think it will mean for them?
Also High School Rapper has ended today what are your thoughts about the show and Mark's performances?
Much <3
