23. Rumors

Miss Hillary was upset - the hickeys and lipstick stains, messy looks and alcohol, it was too obvious to hide the truth, so she ordered them to help in the camp for the rest of the stay, but she decided to save them the embarrassment of contacting their parents, if it won't happen again.

So Taeyong and Mark needed to take care over the younger boys, Ten and Johnny cleaned the cafeteria and practice rooms, and Jae and Yuta joined Doyoung in the kitchen. The scary thing was, Hansol was still nowhere to find, so Yuta joked he was kidnapped by the girls, but he called him every hour, unfortunately didn't receive any answer. Johnny came up with a story, that Hansol caught a cold, when he was bathing in the lake and knowing Hansol he would be able to do it, so everyone believed it for now. Yuta got medication for him from the school nurse, but he and Johnny discussed all possible things they could do to find their friend.

Jae decided to keep out of trouble and concentrated on the dance and vocal classes, and his kitchen job. During the second evening the boys did a small freestyle session in the cafeteria and there was a lot of fun, and music. Taeil made everyone speechless with his voice, so they begged him to sing ten more songs, till he told them no more and went to bed. Jae noticed, that even Yuta was hypnotized by Taeil's singing, no one could escape his magic.

It was around midnight and Mr. Perry ordered them to go to sleep, so Jae took a shortcut from the kitchen to his house. Suddenly he heard rustling in the bushes, so he stopped and hid behind a tree. He glanced towards the small pier on the lake noticing two shapes, so he sneaked closer, and was surprised to recognize Mark and the girl from the disco, they were kissing fiercely, and Jae smiled to himself, little Mark caught the love virus, and the girl was equally deep into it. She risked a lot coming here, but if it would be for Taeyong, he would do the same thing. Soon a shape ran around the next house and Jae narrowed his eyes to see long skinny legs in jeans shorts, and a ponytail - Lauren. She was jumping a little to check the houses through the windows and she was getting closer to theirs.

There she stopped sneaking inside and Jae wondered, who she will meet first - Yuta, or Taeil. He hurried to the house and glanced through the door she had left open. A awkward silence was inside, Taeil's face was pale, when the boy was looking at Lauren, who was standing opposite to him.

"Yuta!" shouted Taeil, the third door opened and Yuta walked out.

He noticed Lauren and blinked a few times.

"Here's the slut, that is cheating on me," he said.

"Don't call her that!" shouted Taeil stopping between Yuta and Lauren.

"It's ok, he's just mad," Lauren shook her head.

"Don't let him treat you this way!" now Taeil was shouting at Lauren.

He slammed the front door causing Jae to jump to the wall, but Taeil was so furious he didn't notice him.

Jae waited a moment and glanced behind the door again.

"So?" Yuta crossed his arms.

"I was mad at you and wanted to make you jealous," she blushed.

"You did," Yuta walked to her.

His face was tense and Lauren took a breath.

"The thing is I can't live without you," whispered Yuta pressing his lips to her forehead and hugging her tightly.

Lauren put her small arms around him and Jae saw the relief on her face. She definitely liked Taeil, but she loved Yuta, and Jae felt it will need a year of World Tour to change something, if it was even possible.

He was so sad after this discovery, that he nearly jumped out of his skin, when a hand grabbed his shoulder.

"Come," the calm low voice made him even more excited, torn, afraid and longing.

He turned around to see Taeyong's beautiful eyes and he pecked his lips lovingly.

"Not here," Taeyong glanced around and grabbed Jae's hand dragging him through the dark places.

They crossed the lawn taking a path towards the lake, there they walked for twenty minutes, till they found a lonely beach and Taeyong stopped in the sand.

"We can make out here," he said smiling in a naughty way and Jae shivered.

He wanted it so badly and he felt great, when Taeyong pressed his lips to his.

They sat in the sand and cuddled watching the dark water lit up by the new moon.

"Laufen loves Yuta," whispered Jae.

"I know," Taeyong rubbed his forehead. "Maybe Taeil should find a different girl."

Jae nodded. How hard it sounded sometimes giving in was the only way.

He moved closer to Taeyong, till their noses met. Soon they were making out in the sand.

The weeks passed quickly and there was a lot more love, and music in the air. Mark and Yuta were sneaking out each night and Taeil was his miserable self again. With a Yuta-free room Jae spent the nights in Taeyong's bed, even if the boy tried to kick him out. They never went further than kissing and touching, so Jae was a little jealous, when he overheard Mark telling Donghyuck how he had lost his virginity two nights ago, obviously with the brunette girl. Doyoung said it was all the hormonal age, besides it's way to early and Mark is just starting rumors to be more cool, but Jae knew better.

So, except the younger boys, according to his calculations he and Doyoung were the only virgins left. It bothered him, but he knew Taeyong will never agree on it in this stage of their relationship and he wasn't sure, if he's ready, so he never talked about it.

Soon the last day of the camp came, so everyone was busy packing and with the preparation to the evening camp fire.
