Chapter 5- a new year

Btw the last chapter was the day before this one which is New Year's Eve and so ms Katie and mr bills won't be celebrating the new year with Caleb,Annie and Hayley,they will be celebrating it at the flippin Katie household.x

Annie's PoV:
I wake up and realise it's New Year's Eve today but then I realise that I won't be spending it with my family. Oh well at least I can celebrate it with Katie's family who are basically my second family any way and as well as spending it with Katie I get to spend it with Brennan as well who I can now officially call my boyfriend.
I walk into the kitchen for breakfast and see Brennan, Katie and Caleb all talking.
" what are we talking about?" I say walking over and sitting at the breakfast bar next to Brennan as the only available seat is next to him and I really want to sit next to him anyway.
"You and Brennan." Caleb replies raising an eyebrow."
"Oh " I say not knowing how he has responded to the fact that his younger sister and best friend are going out.
" and he's fine with us" Brennan says to me putting a hand on my back in reassurance as he could obviously see that I was a bit worried as to what Caleb would think of us.
" yeah Brennan's a good guy, I trust him with you." Caleb says
" see" Brennan says as he smiles at me, gosh his smile is so cute, I could look at his face all day but I get snapped out of my thoughts when katie says
" oh my god guys it's New Year's Eve." We all cheer, then eat breakfast get ready, we would usually have to go to school but it's the Christmas holidays so even me and Katie don't have to.
After we are all ready we go on a trip on the boat and I sit next to Brennan ms Jill and mr Mike are at the other end of the boat so me and Brennan are talking to each other.
"Wow it's so beautiful out here in winter" I say looking in front of me.
"Not as beautiful as you." Brennan says back to me. I can feel my cheeks blushing like mad but I am soon taken out of my thoughts when I start to shiver. Brennan must have noticed because he reached over and put a blanket over us both. I knew the adults were only paying attention on driving and Hayley and Ryan were busy playing at the front of the boat so I snuggled up to Brennan's side and he put an arm around my waist. We stayed like this for ages until the boat eventually gets back. It was a perfect trip.

Once we are back we have lunch then me, Katie and Hayley practice some gymnastics skills while the boys watched ( well Brennan and Ryan did, Caleb was too busy facetiming Sydney in Brennan's room. Him and Sydney are cute together and I know they have liked each other for a while so i am happy that they are both happy now.) we finish up the gymnastics then watched the film divergent until it was time for dinner.

Once we had finished dinner we watched another film (Harry potter) and then it was 11:00 so we played a load of board games until the countdown came on we all counted down until "3,2,1, HAPPY NEW YEAR!" We all cheered and then hugged each other before me and Brennan snuck out to the balcony where Brennan said "happy new year Annie," I said happy new year back to him aswell before we just stared at each other and started to lean in. ( I'd wait till the chorus of this song before you read it for the best effect.)Then we kissed. Wind blew our hair back while fireworks went of in the distance, it was like I was in a movie. I've never experienced anything like this before and it was an amazing way to start my year and also Brennan is a really good kisser. We stood there making out for about 1 minute until we both break apart and smiled at each other. We then went back inside and join the others. Me and Brennan went back downstairs with an arm around each others waist when Katie tells us that her parents and Hayley and Ryan have gone to bed. We decide to watch a more grown up film as the others are in bed and we end up watching Bad Neighbors 2 which was really funny. Katie and Caleb were on 2 air chairs while me and Brennan were cuddling up together on the sofa.

We all fall asleep like this and the next morning I wake up still in Brennan's arms. Brennan is already awake and whispers " hey gorgeous, how did you sleep?" I really liked that nickname and I decided to give him one so I said " well thanks for asking, it was amazing in your arms handsome.". We both laughed before Brennan said "Annie I think we should tell my parents today." I nodded and then said " it's still quite early though so can we just stay like this for a bit longer?" Brennan laughed and then said " of course we can gorgeous, I could stay like this all day." I laughed and then looked into his eyes and kissed him quickly before pulling away and resting my head on his chest again. We switched the TV on and watched it still in each other's arms.

Brennan was perfect I wanted to stay with him forever but then I remembered we are telling his parents later and I don't know how they'll react because neither of us have ever been out with someone before and what if they force us to split up. I don't know what I would do without Brennan he's perfect.

We lay there for a while just watching the TV and the whole time Brennan had his arms around me. He quickly removed them when we heard his parents coming. Oh god this is it. Me and Brennan could be about to get split up.
