Chapter 10- I love you

Brennan's PoV:
Yes! Today is the bratayley's New Years party which means I get to see Annie again. I know it has only been 2 days but it feels like forever.
I get up, get dressed smartly. Annie is going to be wearing a pale Sky Blue beautiful dress that we bought in town the other day ⬇️

I am going to were a marching suit that I have had for a while now but it still fits me fine⬇️

I just want to go there now and although we are getting there before anyone else, we aren't leaving for another 20 minutes. I decide to add a bit of volume to my hair. Once I have finished my hair I grabbed a quick snack and then finally it was time to leave.
Annie's PoV:
I had just finished getting ready. I had a sky blue dress on that Brennan helped me choose at the shop the other day. My make up goes with the dress well⬇️

I can't wait for Brennan to get hear. I know it has only been a couple of days but I have really missed him, especially at night I keep waking up and having nightmares so I have to text him in the middle of the night, luckily he's sleeping round here tonight.
I go to my room and sit on my bed, waiting for Brennan to come. I decide to text him.
Me😝: are you coming soon handsome, I can't wait to finally see you.
I sent it but then I heard a ping and I turned around to see Brennan there. He shut the door, came over to me and said " looks like you don't have to wait any longer gorgeous. As he said this he slid his hands around my waist and stared at me " you're so beautiful." He whispered. I was staring at him and I couldn't wait any longer. I kissed him. All of my impatience that had built up over the last 2 days of me missing Brennan had built up and I was realising it throughout the kiss. I could have stayed like this all day but I pulled away and said
" we better get back before we get disturbed again." Brennan nodded his head and we went down to the living room holding hands.
Brennan's PoV:
Everyone was chatting to each other when the doorbell rang and when I saw who was standing there my eyes bulged.
Hayley had a friend from school and her sister was in mine and Annie's year at school ( yes Annie goes to public school with Brennan in this story.) who was called izzy. She is always trying to get me to like her but I don't, especially not now that I have Annie.
She stood at the door, with way too much make up caked all over her face. No offence to her but she really didn't look good.
I grabbed Annie's hand, got up and started walking to the kitchen. Annie knows I don't like Izzy so she understood what we were doing. All of a sudden I heard her shout " hey Bren, where are you going." So me and Annie quickly ran away to her bedroom and shut the door. "No why does she have to come?" I ask moaning but then I noticed Annie was sitting on her bed sadly.
"Hey gorgeous what's wrong?" I ask as I go and sit with her and put an arm around her back.
"Izzy, she's probably going to be horrible to me as usual and especially when she finds out that were together." She answers sighing
" I'm not going to let her do anything to either of us, I can't loose you gorgeous and you have to believe me when I say that if something strange happens in our relationship today or tomorrow, then we need to stay strong through it as it's probably just Izzy trying to mess with us."
She nods then i lift her chin up and kiss her we both stand up still kissing and she ends up against her bedroom wall with no gap between us, our lips moving in sync. We keep kissing until we ear the door open and Izzy saying "there you are bre... What the hell is going on?"
We both pull away slightly embarrassed then Brennan says " what do you want Izzy, can't you see that I busy."
"Brennie, are you feeling ok because you appear to be kissing that slut over there she says pointing to Annie."
" firstly" I reply going up to her, "my name is not brennie and I hate it, secondly I am feeling fine and thirdly how dare you call my girlfriend a slut, " I said very angrily as I walked back to a now very upset Annie and put an arm around her.
" ok there is definitely something wrong with you if your calling her your girlfriend" she said eyeing up Annie."
" there is nothing wrong with me!"I reply very angrily now, " look I couldn't be happier to do this ." I said as I pulled Annie into a deep kiss. We both smiled out of it then I replied, " so please leave my beautiful girlfriend and I alone" I said as Izzy pulled a very angry face at Annie before leaving. I hug Annie to comfort her and once she is ok we both go down stairs again. Me and Annie are going to make sure we stick together the whole evening and as there aren't that many people here, it shouldn't be hard: everyone in the bratayley family got to invite one friend and anyone in their family who wanted to come along to was welcome to it so Annie invited Katie and our whole family came along, Caleb invited Sydney obviously and Luke and their parents came as well, then Hayley invited her friend Sophie who also brought Izzy and her family, great.

Before dinner all the kids played a bid game of pictionary in which we had to be in groups of 3 me and Annie were sitting there talking to each other when Izzy came up to us and said "I'm going to be on your team."
"No your not, not after earlier," I replied, " any way we have a team of 3, me Annie and Katie so it looks like you will have to find someone else to be on your team.
Eventually we start playing until dinner is ready dinner was really nice and it was good to spend it with everyone, well except Izzy.

Once everyone had finished dinner we all organised where we were sleeping and who with it was:
In the downstairs living room: Hayley, Sophie, Ryan,Izzy and Sophie and Izzy's parents.
In Caleb's room: Caleb, Sydney and Luke
In Annie's room: me and Annie
In Hayley's room my parents
In the upstairs living room: Luke and Sydney's mum

We all said goodnight and went to bed, luckily Annie had a double bed, because mine is only a single so it was a bit squishy. Me and Annie got ready for bed then both got in.
" goodnight gorgeous sweet dreams." I say to her knowing she's been having nightmares a lot recently. I kissed her forehead before she said " goodnight handsome." And then kissed my cheek. After about 10 minutes I heard faint snoring, I sat up a bit and noticed Annie was asleep so I kissed her cheek then went to sleep myself.

Annie's PoV:
I woke up sweating and crying, no not again, I can't stop having nightmares. This one was worse than any others though. Although there was no thunderstorms tonight the nightmare I just had scared me as much as thunderstorms do: it was that Izzy had kidnapped me and tied me up in this weird old abandoned house and she was pointing a gun at my head then all of a sudden bang and I woke up. I lay there silently crying to myself as I know Brennan is asleep and it is about 1:00 in the morning but then I feel Brennan turn me around and kiss my forehead he then gets up and says, "come lets go and get a drink" so we both quietly get up and tip toe to the kitchen as Ryan, Hayley, Sophie, Izzy and Sophie and Izzy's parents are sleeping just round the corner. I go over and stand by the table still slightly crying and shaking, while Brennan fills up a glass of water then sits at the table and pats his leg for me to sit on him. He puts the glass of water on the table then strokes my hair and rubs his thumb over my hand. I lean my head against his chest after having a sip of water and we stay like this for about 10 minutes until Brennan says " are you ready to go back to bed now gorgeous, we don't have to, it's up to you. I slowly nod my head Brennan then picks me up and carries me back to bed.
Izzy's PoV:
I wake up and remember I'm in Annie's house, great but then I noises in the kitchen so I listen closer and I hear Brennan say "are you ready to go back to bed now gorgeous,we don't have to its up to you." He must be talking to Annie, who else in this house would he call gorgeous. Oh I wish that was me he was calling gorgeous and asking if I want to go back to bed with him but no it's stupid Annie. I then have an idea to get revenge on Annie for taking and hogging Brennan. I pretend to be asleep when I hear them get up but I keep one eye open and see Brennan carrying a half asleep Annie back to their bedroom. Oh why can't that be me, then suddenly I remember my plan. I get up and wait for about half an hour then sneak into their room.
Annie's PoV:
" Brennan I'm scared, I had a really bad nightmare." I said shakily, as he put me down on the bed and lay next to me.
"What was the nightmare about?" He said soothingly whilst playing with my hair.
I told him all about Izzy and that she kidnapped me and then shot me and then I woke up, and I finished off by saying very trembly "and it was all so real." I started to cry as the dream was playing back in my head.
Brennan's PoV:
She started crying so I pulled her into a tight hug whilst whispering " don't cry gorgeous, it's fine I am here with you and I will never leave you, I will protect you from Izzy and any other bad things. I will always be here for you princess. I would be nothing without you. I love you so, so much Annie Grace Leblanc."
I could still hear her faintly crying so I said " gorgeous please stop crying."
She then surprisingly replied " I'm not crying because of the nightmare Bren, I'm crying because what you just said was so sweet. I smiled then stared into her eyes. I was really tempted to kiss her but I wasn't sure whether I should because she was still in a very fragile state. However she read my mind and answered my question for me. Soon her lips and her body were on mine. I felt like I was in heaven and Annie was a really good kisser. We kept on kissing, on and on. I'd turn her over so i was on top, then she'd laugh and turn me over so she was on top again. We were doing this for about 20 minutes until she pulled away and said " Brennan I really don't know what I'd do without you, you cheer me up whenever I'm down and protect me from anything that is harmful, I love you."
"I love you too, and I know, I'm amazing." He replied
I laughed before kissing him on the cheek and saying " goodnight handsome" before going to sleep."

What was Izzy's plan find out in the next chapter which will either be out today or tomorrow.xx
