Chapter 19- bars, bars and more bars!

Annie's PoV:
Today I would usually be going to practice but I can't because of my stupid ankle, the only thing I would be able to do is bars. Then I think to myself I can go to gymnastics and just go on bars, I do need to practice on them and I can watch everyone else when we're not on bars. I wake up Brennan who is still quite tired after last night. "He rolls over to face me, yawns then rubs his eyes I kiss him which makes him open his eyes. "Brennan I can go to gymnastics I just won't do anything that puts pressure on my ankle!" I say happily
"That's great gorgeous" Brennan replies before rolling back over to go back to sleep.
"Not so fast mr" I say to him rolling him back over "you have water polo this morning."
He moans which I laugh at before kissing him. I then get out of bed, grab my crutches and go to breakfast, Brennan sleepily follows. We are greeted by the rest of the family who all say good morning to us.
I tell everyone my idea then I get ready to go to gymnastics with Katie. I put my ankle splint on then a couple of socks for extra support and then my trainer. Brennan got ready for water polo then had to leave so he said see you later and then kissed me on the cheek. I did my hair in a messy bun then me a Katie got in the car and went to gymnastics.
When we arrived ms Jill told coach Mary about my ankle and asked if it was ok for me to just do bars. Of course coach Mary said it was ok so I crutched over to the edge of the floor put my crutches down then hopped to the middle of the floor where everyone was warming up. I sat on a block Katie put out for me and warmed up my arms and shoulders ready for bars.
After 20 minutes of warming up I hoped to the edge of the floor picked up my crutches and went to the bars.
I practiced my routine a few times but skipped the parts that included putting pressure on my ankle. I then practiced some new moves and I managed to do my first ever pak salto which I was very happy about. I'm glad I came to gymnastics.
Brennan's PoV:
We're playing a practice match in water polo but I'm not really concentrating as much as I could. I'm worried about Annie, I don't want her to hurt her ankle even more. Suddenly the ball drops in the water next to me so I get back to the game.
Annie's PoV:
We had finished our session on bars but there was still an hour left so I guess I would just have to watch everyone else.
We got to floor and coach Mary said we could do a handstand competition so I could join in. I was happy about this then when coach Mary said "3,2,1,go"everyone went into a handstand I didn't win the first time but we did 8 more rounds which I didn't win any of then Mary said "ok girls one more 3,2,1,go!" We all went into a handstand I soon felt myself tipping over but I managed to save it. I held it for what felt like ages but was probably something like 2 minutes and my arms are killing me. All of a sudden I see peanut fall behind me and then everyone cheers that I've one. I slowly come down as to not hurt my ankle then stand up and realise that I have indeed one. I smile to myself before sitting down. I decide to rest and just watch everyone else on beam for the last 45 minutes.
Once practice is over me and Katie get home, get changed and then do some homework then I go to mine/Brennan's room and sit on the bed scrolling through Instagram. I start to feel my eyes shut. I'm not supposed as I only got about 4 hours sleep last night. And before I know it I'm asleep.
Brennan's PoV:
I got home from water polo said hello to Katie then asked her where Annie was Katie said that she thought Annie was in our room but she wasn't sure so I said thank you then headed up to my room.
Once I opened the door I saw Annie was asleep leaning against my wall sitting on my bed. She looked so cute so I sat next to her then lowered her head down so it rested on my lap. I stroked her her hair gently so I wouldn't wake her up.
I then got out my phone whilst stroking Annie's head. I go on YouTube and watch some of our recent vlogs with my headphones in so I don't wake up Annie.
About 15 minutes later mum comes in and says "hello are you t" she stops when she sees Annie asleep on my lap "sorry" she mouths to me. I laugh quietly before Annie turns her head around on my lap but doesn't wake up. I stroke her head again as mum whispers to me "I'm just going shopping with Ryan and dad so you 2 will have the house to yourself be careful." I nod my head then look back down at Annie and smile before mum leaves.
I decide to take a picture of Annie on snapchat and captioned it "my sleeping beauty" before putting it on my story. I smile at the picture when Annie's moves her head then rubs her eyes as they begin to open. "Hey gorgeous" I say as I stroke her fore head with my thumb. She looked surprised to see me. She sits up and I kiss her. "How was gymnastics?" I ask.
"It was really good actually, I'm glad I went I also one a handstand competition and I did a pak salto."
"Well done I'm proud of you, even though I have no clue what that is, but still well done." I say laughing whilst rubbing her back. Annie laughs aswell before she says look I'll show you. She pulled out her phone and went on YouTube to show me a video of this pak salto thing. It looked really cool. She switched of her phone then looked at me, I looked at her beautiful brown eyes then her lips before I knew it her lips were on mine. We both pulled away and smiled at each other. Gosh I love her so much. We are all relaxed when suddenly we hear what sounds like a window being smashed coming from the kitchen. I jump up while Annie grabs her crutches and follows me however when we step out of my bedroom we are greeted by Luke, still looking drunk with a bottle in his hand. We both stand there speechless. "Just the people I wanted to see" Luke says sounding very drunk. I look at Annie concerned, what are we going to do?
