Chapter 16- without any hesitation

9 months later:
Annie and Brennan are both still 16 and have just started their last year in school, they are still with each other and very happy with each other. However it is the weekend and Annie has just found out that her cousin David has died and Brennan is comforting her at home. ( I know this isn't actually when David died but this story isn't real.) Xx
Brennan's PoV:
Me and Annie were just lying on her bed in her room, with the door locked, hugging each other under the duvet. Annie hasn't spoken much since about an hour ago when she found out David died and ran to her room. Luckily I was round her house and me and my whole family are staying for a week as well as Sydney but not Luke. ( Sydney and Caleb are still together too). I played with Annie's hair while she just lay with her head on my chest.
Eventually she looked up and stared into my eyes while I stared back at hers.

I grabbed her neck and pushed her lips on mine, she didn't pull back. It felt like she was releasing all her sadness and anger for the fact that David was gone, onto my lips. I dragged my hands down her waist while she brought hers up to my neck.
She then started to unbutton my shirt. I didn't pull away as long as she was sure she wanted to do this, I was ok with it. She eventually finished unbuttoning it then tugged at it. I quickly pulled away from her and pulled it of, while she lifted her top up. She then tugged for my adidas trousers to come of so she undid the zip, then slowly pulled them down. Without no hesitation she reconnected her lips to mine. After a minute or so of kissing Annie pulled away and slid her underwear off, while she looked at me, wanting me to do this same, so I did.
After that I pulled the covers a bit more over us then kissed her some more rolling us over so I was on top. I then entered in ( I hope you know what I mean here.😂) while Annie let out a little moan and squeezed her hand on my back. She tugged at my hair as we continued and every so often there would be a little moan.

Eventually we finished, and put all our clothes back on then headed out back to everyone else and discussed David's funeral plans. It then got late so we ordered a takeaway for dinner and ate it.
After that we all played a giant game of charades before heading of to bed. I slept in Annie's bed like I always do when I am round, Sydney and Caleb were in Caleb's room while Katie and Ryan were in the basement, Miss Katie and mr Billy were in there room with Hayley and my parents slept in Hayley's double bed. Annie went to sleep very quickly so I just lay there for a bit holding her in my arms, thinking to myself how lucky I was to have someone as beautiful as her.

Annie's PoV:
I woke up in Brennan's arms and smiled at him, he was cute when he was asleep. My smile then dropped when I remembered that my cousin was gone, I was never going to see him again, hear his voice speaking to me, or laughing. My smile dropped even more when I remembered that yesterday me and Brennan slept together, I hope nothing happens. I sit up,still thinking about David when I feel a tear coming down my face. I then start crying quietly. I get a bit startled when I feel a hand wrap around my waist. I jump a bit before Brennan says "what's wrong Annie? Why are you crying? Is it David?" I shakily nodded my head then Brennan pulls me back to lie down with him again. He rubs my hip to try and calm me down.
Suddenly there's a knock at our door which makes me jump a bit but Brennan squeezes my hip.
Brennan's PoV:
Mum walks in a tells me and Annie " sorry to disturb you 2 something has appeared on the news and I think you might want to watch it." I nod before mum shuts the door and sits on the end of our bed while I switch on the tv. What came up on the news next, I was not expecting at all, the news reporter said " a 17 year old boy called David, who is a cousin of the internet famous bratayley family, has been killed. The murderer goes by the name of Izzy but we do not yet know the surname." A picture of Izzy appeared on the screen.
I looked at Annie shocked and saw she was crying, she started to cry louder so I switched the tv off immediately then hugged Annie tightly who was still lying on me, crying into my bare chest.
Mum got up and rubbed Annie's back but Annie didn't move her head up from my chest. I moved my arms so one of them was rubbing the back of Annie's head and the other was holding her lower back.
Mum then said "Annie don't cry sweetheart, Izzy has been caught and they said she will be locked up for at least 3 years." While rubbing Annie's back.
Mum then got up and headed towards the door but stopped and said " feel free to come to breakfast whenever you like, but we are all going on a boat trip to clear our minds in about an hour so if you want to come just let us know." I nodded before Annie finally lifted her head up from my chest. I kissed her head while mum gave us a smile before shutting the door behind her. I lifted Annie's chin up and kissed her. She just stared into space but I didn't mind, Annie could do whatever she liked, as long as it's what she wants.
We lay there for a good 30 minutes before Annie said "Brennan I don't want to go out today I just want to stay inside."
I replied and said "of course we can Annie, it's totally up to you." She then smiled before readjusting her her head. This was the first time I had seen her smile in a bit so I smiled too.
Then mum came in again "I'm glad to see you smiling again Annie" she started as I rubbed Annie's shoulder with my thumb " I wanted to let you 2 know that we will be going out soon but if you both want to come we can go out a bit later like in 20 minutes or something like that."
" no thanks mum, I think we'll sit this one out." I replied as I looked at Annie and smiled as I noticed she had just fallen asleep.
"Ok, well you'll have house to yourself so you can get some breakfast once Annie has woken up, look after her Brennan, she is in a very delicate state."
I replied with " yes I will mum I would never just leave her when she needs me"
She smiled at me once again before leaving then a few minutes later I heard the front door shut, me and Annie had the whole house to ourselves. I looked at her then decided to make her some breakfast.
I scooped Annie up into my arms, carried her into the living room, carefully put her down on the sofa with her head resting on the arm and then went into the kitchen and cooked some pancakes.
I knew Annie liked sugar and lemon the best so I cooked 2 of them and then cooked 2 chocolate ones for me.
Suddenly I heard a "Brennan?" I looked over my shoulder after putting the pancakes on their plates to see Annie sitting up on the sofa looking confused. I walked quickly over to her and embraced her. "Hello gorgeous, do you want some breakfast, I made some of your favourite pancakes." I asked her.
She delicately nodded her head before I said "come here" she scooted closer towards the edge of the sofa and I picked her up and took her over to the kitchen. We both ate the pancakes then started talking before Annie said. "Brennan I don't think we should tell anyone about what we did yesterday, well I mean I did enjoy it but we are only 16 so I don't think our parents or anyone actually ,especially my dad, will be very happy."
"I agree, it's best if no one knows." I reply.

She smiles at me before we go and get dressed. Annie puts one of her leotards on then leads me downstairs. She tells me that she isn't going to gymnastics or school for a while ,which I know, because of David's death and Izzy and everything, so she wants to practice here with me.
Annie warms up before doing some tumbling. She's amazing and so strong to do it after what she has just been through. I sit there and watch in amazement before Annie pulls me up. She tells me to do a handstand so I do one then she helps me to walk whilst doing one. We then decide to have a race, walking on our hands.so Annie says 3,2,1, GO! And we both go. I completely fail while Annie casually walks over there like she is on her legs.
"Come on, I had no chance" I say laughing.
" aw poor Brennan ." Annie says as she comes over to me and kisses me quickly. She starts laughing. I'm glad she is happy again. Suddenly mum comes down the stairs and says " hello sorry we were so long, any way you 2 seem to have cheered up a lot and Annie I see you have being doing some gymnastics."
" Brennan did as well" she said laughing
"Well tried to" I added in also laughing. We all burst into laughter before going upstairs and joining everyone else but once we are up there I see Luke standing there looking at the ground with his mum.
He ran over to Annie and grabbed her arm but she immediately pulled it away and grabbed my hand.
"Annie I just wanted to say, I'm so sorry for what happened before, I don't know what I was thinking but please can you forgive?" He said still standing near Annie. I squeezed Annie's hand before she replied " it will take time but I guess I might be able to eventually." He smiled at Annie before everyone went into the living room and we all played a large game of twister. Annie fell on me and knocked me over which we both laughed at. After that mum told us all that Luke would be sleeping over with us all for 2 nights before he has to fly to California for a baseball tournament. Me and Annie were a bit unsure about this as we didn't really trust Luke after last time but we didn't really have any other option.
Soon it got to 11:00 and Ryan, Hayley, miss Katie, mr Billy, mum and dad had all gone to bed and Luke was sitting on an armchair. Caleb and Sydney were on another, while me and Annie were together on a sofa and we were all watching the nightmare before Christmas as its nearly Halloween.
Eventually it finished and Caleb and Sydney headed off to bed, Luke slept in an armchair in the living room and me and Annie were going to go to her room but she was practically asleep and so was I so we decided to just stay on the sofa and put a few blankets over us.
I just wanted her to be happy like she was now, all the time, but tomorrow's David's funeral so her emotions will be all over the place, I just have to be there for her but who knows what it's going to be like tomorrow. We'll just have to see. I soon fell asleep with my arm around Annie, I could stay like this forever.
