Chapter 51- the fire- part 3

Brennan's PoV:
Annie is lying on the floor not breathing, is she alive. I scoop her up then take her out the cubicle, still coughing. I walk down the corridor which is now properly filled with smoke. I then walk down the stairs still holding a lifeless Annie, by now I'm practically choking. I walk out the building still coughing and everyone comes running over to me. A fireman takes Annie off of me to the ambulance, while a load of children come running over to me. I then escorted to the same one ambulance as Annie. Annie is laid on a stretcher with an oxygen mask around her mouth. I'm sitting on the chair in the ambulance also with an oxygen mask. Annie then gets hooked to a load of machines. That start beeping.
We soon get to the hospital and me and Annie are both taken to a room. Some nurses come around me while lots of doctors crowd around Annie. The nurse checks my breathing, pulse and all that stuff. While she does this I look over to Annie who is still lifeless. The doctor then injects her with something and a few seconds later Annie's eyes open wide and she gasps for air then chokes. She is alive! I start to cry, I nearly lost her.
The doctors do a few more things to Annie then when they leave I look over and see she is asleep.
The nurses finish checking up on me. I then go and sit on the chair next to Annie. I hold her hand and stroke it with my thumb.
About 5 minutes later mum, dad, Katie and Edward all come running in with Emily and David. "Brennan!" Mum shouts as she runs over and hug me, then everyone else does. I feel Annie's hand start to move. Mum must have woken her up. She slowly starts to open her eyes.
Annie's PoV:
My eyes slowly open and adjust to my surroundings. As they are still adjusting I feel someone holding my hand so I look over and see a figure that looks like Brennan. "Brennan?" I say quietly as my eyes fully focus. "Annie!" He says as he gently hugs me. "I'm alive?" I say.
"Yeah, you gave us all a fright though," Brennan began, "the fire alarm went off and you never came out so I ran inside to look for you and found you unconscious in a toilet cubicle with a giant flame in."
"You saved me." I say, still surprised that I'm alive.
"Well." Brennan started but I didn't let him finish I just hugged him tightly.
"You really are a hero Brennan." Mrs Jill says which makes him blush.
"Do we know who started the fire?" Edward said.
"Not yet but the firemen and police were looking for clues." Katie replied.
All of a sudden mum, dad and Hayley came in. They run over and hug me then Brennan.
"Annie what happened?" Mum asked worriedly.
"There was a fire and I got locked in a toilet cubicle and went unconscious but Brennan managed to save me." I replied.
Mum walked over to Brennan and hugged him again while saying "you saved Annie, how can we ever thank you?" Mum said. Brennan laughed before saying, "you don't need to say thank you it's fine, I just want to know how it started."
"When I was in the toilets, I saw a bunch of toilet roll that had caught fire, I don't know what caught that on fire though, it must have been something like a cigarette or a lighter." I say.
Then the nurses come in and say "we are just going to do some final tests on you two, I'm afraid your both going to have to stay the night and you won't be able to go to school tomorrow." Me and Brennan both nod. Mrs Jill and mr Mike then go home and get some overnight stuff for me and Brennan.
Mum then comes over to me and says "I'm sorry sweetie but we have to go now, have a good nights sleep, and I'll come in and see you tomorrow." She kisses my head before they all leave.
I look over at Katie and see that she's holding Emily so I say "Katie would you mind if I held Emily?"
"Of course you can, she is your daughter after all." I laugh before she hands me Emily.
"We'll give you some alone time." She says before pulling Edward up, who was holding David and leaving the room.
I look at Emily and say "mummy's still here Emily, all thanks to daddy, say thank you to daddy." I held her in front of Brennan's face and she laughed. This made me and Brennan laugh as well. "I love you so much." I say to Brennan out of no where. He leans forward and gently kisses me before saying "I love you too." Emily then makes a noise in my arms so I say "and I love you too Emily." Then I kiss her nose which makes her smile.
The nurse then comes in and does some tests on me so I pass Emily to Brennan.
"She's so cute, is she yours." The nurse asks, we both nod. Once she has finished doing tests on me, she does some on Brennan so I hold Emily then once she's done she says "well it looks like your back to normal again but we are still going to keep you in overnight just incase anything happens." We both smile before she leaves.
Later...
Everyone is about to leave, I say goodnight to them all then kiss Emily on the head before they all leave. I turn to Brennan and say "looks like it's just me and you." He smiles before getting up and kissing me. I laugh as he gets back into his bed next to me. "What's so funny he says whilst smiling at me. "You look so funny in a hospital gown" I giggle.
"Yeah it doesn't exactly suit me." Brennan jokes, I laugh as well before saying "goodnight B"
"Goodnight Ans" he replies before we both go to sleep.
