Chapter 56- time to relax

The next day:
Annie's PoV:
Today Mrs Jill and mr Mike have decided that we should go on a family day out, after everything that has happened she thinks it will be a good time to relax and I couldn't agree with her more. Once I have fed Emily and had breakfast, I get changed into this:

I do my make up then while everyone else is getting ready I sort Emily out.
Eventually we are ready to leave so we all get in the Caron's mr Mike starts driving. No one knows where we are going apart from the adults so Ryan says "mum can you tell us where we are going now?" Mrs Jill smiles then shakes her head. She then starts filming for a bit making sure to not show Emily to the camera. Katie and Edward didn't mind David being on camera but me and Brennan thought it would be best for Emily to grow a bit first before she starts being in the videos.
Half an hour later we we'd still driving. Emily, David and Ryan had all fallen asleep.
A little while later mr Mike pulled up into a car park. No one had any clue where we were. We all got out still a bit confused about where we are. Brennan put Emily in the pram then put a blanket over her. We then all followed the adults along a path. The path ends up leading to a giant open field. Children are playing and lots of adults and teenagers are having picnics.
Mrs Jill sets a giant picnic rug down which we all sit on and have lunch which Mrs Jill brought with her.

Once lunch is over Brennan, Edward and Ryan play catch with each other, Mrs Jill films and me and Katie sit with Emily and David talking to the camera and watching the boys.
Emily soon falls asleep so I put her in her pram and go and join in the game of catch with the boys. At one point at throw it hard at Brennan and he doesn't manage to catch it so it hits him straight in the balls. He grabs them then falls to the ground half laughing, half in pain. I run over to him to see if he's ok and say "oh my gosh Brennan, are you ok, I'm so sorry." He laughs then gets up and says "I'm fine, no worries." We both laugh then continue playing.
A bit later Emily wakes up crying so Brennan goes over this time and sorts her out while I continue to play catch. In the middle of the game Ryan manages to throw the ball in a tree so him and Edward go and try and find it while I go back over to the picnic rug.
Brennan is sitting there feeding Emily so I sit next to him.
"Are you sure your ok." I say to him, still worried about when I hit him. "Yeah I'm fine, I have balls of steel." He says which makes us both laugh. "It's probably bruised." I say again laughing. Brennan then comes closer and whispers "maybe you could check tonight." Before winking. I smile then bite my lip.
Suddenly Katie says "I'll just pretend that I never heard that shall I." Me and Brennan look at each other with embarrassment then we all laugh. Mrs Jill then says what's so funny so Brennan makes up something and says "we were just wondering how long Edward and Ryan are going to take." Mrs Jill nods suspiciously then goes on her phone.

A few minutes later Ryan and Edward come back. Ryan says "we couldn't find the ball but we found a golf course. Brennan's eyes light up when he hears this so we all go over to the golf course.
Brennan and Ryan get some clubs while everyone else watches them play. Just before Brennan goes to the first whole I say to Emily "are you ready to watch daddy lose." I laugh then Brennan goes "hey!" Whilst laughing. I then say "don't worry, you'll be great." I kiss his cheek which makes him smile then he runs off to the first whole.

Once Brennan and Ryan finish playing golf Brennan comes over to me and says "told you I'd win." He smirks so I laugh and roll my eyes. We then decide to go to the play area for Emily and David.
I gently put Emily in a baby swing and rock it ever so gently which makes her smile. While I'm doing this the adults are filming, Katie and Edward are on the slide with David and Brennan and Ryan are doing chin ups on the monkey bars.

It starts to get dark do we all decide to go home. On the way back mr Mike stops off at a drive through and we order a takeaway for tea which we eat in the car.

40 minutes later we arrive home. I feed Emily some milk then I rove her to sleep before putting her to bed.
I go downstairs to join the rest of the family and say "thanks for a stress free day, it was awesome." Mr Mike and Mrs Jill say your welcome then we all watch the tv.
It gets to 9:30 and the adults say that they are going to bed so we all say goodnight to them. Me, Brennan, Edward and Katie all stay down stairs for another hour, watching Harry Potter, then once it finishes Brennan just changes it to the news.
I hear the news reporter say "and now for the weather with Mackenzie."
"Thank you Olivia, tonight there is expected to be a reasonably heavy thunderstorm so stay indoors, then tomorrow it is expected to be nice and warm like today. Thank you." I look at Brennan worried, he knows what I'm worried about so he squeezes my hand. 1 word was flooding through my mind: thunderstorm.
