Chapter 30- goodbye

Almost 2 months later...
Annie's PoV:
Today is mine and Katie's last day of gymnastics. It's really sad and I'm going to miss it but we'll probably go back. Anyway we do look a bit silly in the leotards with a baby bump that's quite obvious now.⬇️
(That's how obvious Katie and Annie's baby bumps are.)

We arrived at gymnastics and practiced like usual but we finished 15 minutes early. Coach Mary lead us to a room where there is bunting and a cake. Surprise! Everyone shouts, coach Mary cuts the cake and we sit and talk before Mrs Jill arrives. One by one, me and Katie say goodbye to the coral girls, I'm not going to see them for over 7 months. I even hugged Mia. By the time I hugged all the girls I was crying, I went over to coach Mary and hugged her tightly. Then it was time for me and Katie to go. We said a final goodbye, both crying. I grabbed Katie's hand as we left first class gymnastics and we walked to the car hand in hand. All of the coral girls are homeschooled so we won't see them at school or anywhere.
As we were driving home I said to Katie "I think we should go and watch and we could even help out of Mary let's us."
"Good idea" she says back.
We soon get home to be greeted by Brennan and Edward on their phones on the sofa. Brennan looked concerned so I went over to him and asked what was wrong. He showed me his phone. In the last few photos loads of people had commented things like:
Is it just me or has Annie put on weight
Why does Annie look fatter then usual in her recent photos
Annie's obviously gained weight
I dragged Brennan to his room and said "I think we should tell them, can you get the camera." He nodded before coming back in a few minutes with Mrs Jill's camera.
He switched it on with both of us in view and said "hi guys, now we've noticed that on Annie's Instagram there have been things said like why does Annie look fatter than usual or why has she gained weight."
I continued by saying "and yes I have got fatter but not because I'm eating too much, the truth is, well me and Brennan are having a baby, I'm pregnant." It felt like a relief once I said that. Brennan added on to what I said by saying "yeah Annie is roughly 2 months pregnant and she's doing great, so that's the answer to your questions, we're going to be parents." He switched off the camera and hugged me. I hugged back before getting up and going to Katie, I gave her the camera and said "we've told the viewers that I'm pregnant because I was getting called fat, so we thought you might want to tell them the same time as us." She smiled before saying thank you then going to her room with Edward.
"How was your last ever gymnastics for a while.?" Brennan asked as we sat on the sofa together.
"It was good at the beginning, then coach Mary organised a little surprise party which was even better but then it was time to go which was really sad."
He hugged me as he could see that I was still a bit sad about stopping gymnastics. I hugged backed tightly before saying "me and Katie thought that we could go back and watch or help out." He smiled and said "good idea." We were still hugging as we said this. Brennan is so good at comforting me and supporting me, I love him, we pull out from the hug and we kiss quickly. As we kissed Katie and Edward came out from their room.
We all decided to go on a walk around the block while Mrs Jill posted the YouTube video in which me and Katie said we were pregnant. Brennan and I held hands while Katie and Edward did as well. About 15 minutes later Katie said "you guys go on, we're gonna head back, see you later." Me and Brennan said bye and then carried on walking. We went all around the block which took about an hour then we eventually returned home.
Once we got in dinner was being prepared as it was Sunday we decided to have a nice Sunday roast even though me and Katie wouldn't be eating very much. We still have morning sickness and it's quite bad now but the boys help us out so that's good. Me and Katie have also gained a bit more appetite but it's still not back to usual.
Later...
Everyone including Brennan and I has gone to bed, Brennan's just fallen asleep and I feel my eyes starting to shut. Before I know it I'm asleep as well.
The next day...
Brennan's PoV:
(Warning there is a lot of sick coming up. If you don't want to read it then just start reading from this arrow below➡️all that happens is that Annie is sick a lot.)I wake up and see that Annie is still asleep peacefully, gosh she is so gorgeous, I love her so much. Just as I'm thinking to myself she rolls over to face me and wakes up. "Hey" I say as I kiss her forehead, Annie was about to reply when her eyes bulge and she shoots out of bed to the bathroom. I shoot out of bed to and run after her. She throws up as I rub her back with one hand and hold her hair back with the other. She finishes so I say "are you done?" She shakes her head as her face looks panicky, before leaning back over the toilet and throwing up again. I grab a hair tie from the shelf in the bathroom and tie Annie's hair back in a bun to keep it out the way. I'm getting better at doing them since I've had to do them quite a lot on Annie recently. I look back down at Annie once I've finished tying her hair back she still doesn't look too good so she sits over the toilet for the next minute but no sick came out. Just as Annie was getting up she immediately crouched over the toilet and was sick once again. I rubbed her back in support whilst saying, "it's ok just get it all out," As we were doing this Ryan walked past and looked at Annie weirdly as she was being sick. I quickly said "Ryan would you be able to shut the door please." As I said this Annie was sick once again so I rubbed her back, then looked at Ryan again who had a face of disgust as he'd just seen Annie be sick. He quickly shut the door as Annie was sick another time. Annie is at the stage in the pregnancy where the morning sickness is at its worst point. Once she's finished, Annie looks up at me, I smile she gives a faint smile as well before leaning back over the toilet like she is about to be sick once more, she gags but no sick comes out. I can see she's trying to get it out so I massage her shoulders and say "come on Ans, you can do it, just get it out." After I say this Annie leans further into the toilet and throws up, a lot. ➡️Eventually she stops being sick, sighs and leans back. She looks like she has just had all of her energy drained out of her. She sits back against the bath tub as I clean up around the toilet.then flush the toilet which was full of Annie's sick. I then sit down next to Annie and say "how can one little baby cause so much sick?" As I said this I ran my fingers along Annie's tummy which made her smile, she still looks exhausted, I grab her hand and say "the morning sickness will be over soon, you've done so well so far Ans, I'm really proud of you." She smiles again then I pull her up. We both go to the table where I eat breakfast and Annie talks to mum about being pregnant.
Eventually Katie's door opens and her and Edward come out, they both say good morning but just as katie sits down her eyes bulge as she runs to the bathroom. Edward follows her and shuts the door behind them.
Later...
We are going to have a relaxing day as Annie and Katie are both totally drained out of energy. The 4 of us were going to go on a boat trip but Ryan wanted to come and drive the boat which meant he needed to be supervised so now it's us 4, Ryan and dad, mum is staying home and making lunch.
The 4 of us get in the back of the boat, while Ryan and dad drive at the front. Within the first 5 minutes I notice that Annie has fallen asleep into the side of my jumper, I don't blame her after this morning. I wrap my arm around her to keep her warm then grab a blanket from the side of the boat and put it over us both.
The boat trip was about and hour long and the whole time Annie slept, I talked to Edward and Katie until we eventually got home. I wasn't sure whether or not I should wake up Annie but in the end I decided she deserves to sleep after all she has been through. I pick her up and I sit on our swinging bench outside. I rested Annie's head on a pillow that was on the swing and I lay her body across my legs. (Sort of like this:)

I gently swing the bench with my feet. After a few minutes I felt Annie move on my lap so I looked down and stroked her hair as she rubbed her eyes. She slowly sat up and smiled at me, I smiled back and we just stared into each others eyes, we both leaned in and kissed each other softly. What started of as a small kiss ended up to be quite long but suddenly I heard mum call upstairs "Brennan, Annie lunch is ready, where are you?" We both got up and went to lunch. When we got there we saw everyone sitting at the table looking concerned.
"What is it, what's wrong?" I say
Mum replies with "oh, um Luke has been released from prison."
I look at Annie shocked.
This can't be happening.
