Chapter 37- extreme measures

Annie's PoV:
At 6:00 Emily wakes me up with her crying. I didn't want her to wake Brennan up as he needs to sleep so I quickly got up and picked her up which caused her to stop crying. I walked back over to Brennan and gently kissed his head before going out to the the living room and giving Emily breakfast. Katie comes out soon after and sits with me. Edward was obviously still asleep. We both feed our children then I put Emily down on her play mat while Katie puts David in his chair.( you know the special vibrating ones babies have.) about 10 minutes later Edward comes out of their room yawning "good morning." He says still tired before sitting down next to Katie and rubbing David's head. We all sit talking for a bit then Mrs Jill and mr Mike come down and prepare breakfast, while they are making pancakes for everyone Ryan comes into the kitchen and joins us all.
"So we're just waiting on Brennan." Mr Mike jokes.
"Let him sleep dear" Mrs Jill says more seriously.
"I'll go and check on him, Katie can you just watch Emily for a minute." I say, she nods then I get up and go into mine and Brennan's room. He's still sound asleep poor guy. I decide to leave him for another half an hour if he hasn't already woken up by then.
I go back out and eat some pancakes.
Half an hour later I finish breakfast. Brennan still isn't up so I'm going to wake him now. I go into our room and sit on the edge of our bed. I gently stroke Brennan's hair until he starts to open his eyes, I kiss his head as he rubs his eyes open. "Hey, how are you feeling." I say quietly still stroking his hair. Brennan then says "I don't feel as bad as yesterday but I still don't feel great." I frown and say "I'm sure you'll be better soon, do you want to get up now?" He nods his head so I lift the duvet off of him then he slowly gets out of bed. I kiss his head again before we walk out to the kitchen. Everyone says good morning to Brennan then he sits down and has a little bit of breakfast while I get myself and Emily ready. I go back out and see Brennan is sitting on the sofa so I grab his duvet, go back out and put it over a tired Brennan. He smiles before settling into it.

I decide to go on a walk with Emily to the to town, buy a few things then come back. I get us ready to go out and put Emily in her pram. I go over to Brennan who is about to go to sleep and whisper "I'm just going for a walk to town to get some supplies, I won't be long, see you soon." I kiss his head as I see him faintly smile. I then put my coat on and leave the house, Emily stayed awake for about the first 10 minutes but then she slowly started to drift off. Once I got into town I bought some bottle formula which I am going to start trying on Emily soon, some more clothes for her, some medicine for Brennan, a few new clothes for me and a few more little toys for Emily. I then walked home.
Brennan's PoV:
Once Annie left I tried to get to sleep but I started to feel worse, I couldn't get to sleep so I just lay there. I was also starting to get hot and sweaty so I took my duvet off of me, still just lying there. I started to feel worse and worse. Mum had gone out to take Katie and Edward to the hospital for a check up, dad was at work so Ryan was the only one home and he wasn't much use. I didn't want Ryan though I wanted Annie, I feel absolutely awful now and Annie is the only one who can fix it. Just as I start to feel even worse Annie comes through the door with Emily. She sees that I am not well and runs over.
Annie's PoV:
Once I get home and walk through the door I see Brennan, he looks awful again, so I leave Emily in her pram by the door and run over to him. He says to me weakly "Annie I feel awful again, I need you." I hug him on the sofa tightly whilst saying "sshh it's ok I'm here now Bren," as I pull away from the hug I look at him, he really doesn't look good. Just as I am thinking this Brennan is sick in the bucket I left next to he sofa. Poor Brennan he really isn't well. I rub his back while he throws up, then he sits back up and faces me. "I feel a lot better now, ." He says. I smile then clear out the sick bowl. I then go back and sit next next to him and rub his arm, "shall we just relax for the rest of the day, Emily is asleep now and I'll put her to bed in a minute then we can just have the rest of the afternoon lazy." Brennan smiles at the idea of it then I go and put Emily to bed. I go back out to see that Brennan has perked up a bit. He lifts the duvet up as I go and sit next to him then we switch on the tv and watch it.

About 30 minutes later Mrs Jill Katie, Edward and David return home, she comes over and checks on Brennan, I tell her he was sick but now he's perked up a bit, then she goes and makes lunch. Once it's ready we all sit down and eat. Brennan manages to eat a bit which was good. Everyone soon finishes then Ryan says "guys can we all go on the boat later." Brennan then replied "you guys all can but me and Annie are going to stay home and get me back to normal again." Everyone else said they would go so they all got ready and then left.
Brennan got dressed as he was still in his pyjamas and I checked on Emily who was still sound asleep. Once Brennan was dressed I grabbed the baby monitor then we both went downstairs and did some online college work. Brennan had one more week off then he would be going back to college. I had no gymnastics today so me and Brennan just lounged around downstairs for an hour until we heard the baby monitor. I went upstairs and picked up Emily from her bed. Just as I was walking out the room everyone returned home. I went back downstairs to Brennan and gave Emily lunch.
We switched on the tv again to the local news as I put Emily on her play mat. The news reporter on the telly said "the Internet famous couple Brennan Donelly and Annie LeBlanc gave birth to a child last week. It has been reported that hundreds of fans have been trying to get a glimpse of this child and have been going to extreme measures such as stalking where they live, no one has yet succeed but fans are still trying ." Me and Brennan look at each other in shock, what did we just hear?
