Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep.

My alarm goes off and wakes me from a dream. I hate when I'm having such a great dream and then the alarm goes off and brings me back to reality. Today is the first day of senior year, and I'm going to a new school. So, I'm going to be the weird, dorky, new Asian kid. Awesome. With a groan, I reach over to my night stand and turn off the damn thing. I sit up on my bed and yawn. I can hear Dale, my adoptive father, making breakfast in the kitchen. He's whistling a tune. He always does that while cooking. I get out of bed to get ready for school. I put on my baseball cap.
I make my way to the kitchen. I smell bacon. Yes!
"Good morning, sleepy head." Dad said while he was preparing two plates with eggs, pancakes, and bacon.
"Good morning." I say, rubbing my eyes.
"Did you have any interesting dreams? I know you usually do. You've always had ever since you were just a kid." He says.
"I just had a really weird dream. All I saw was eyes. Green eyes. But I don't know who they belonged to." I answer. The eyes were so beautiful. I have no idea how I dreamt them up.
"See, interesting. Just like always." He says with a smile. I shrug and smile back.
"Hey, Glenn, did you get into that music class that you wanted?"
"Yeah, it's the only thing that makes me look forward to school. But only a little. At least I'll get to play my guitar." I say. I get my fork and start eating.
"Oh, c'mon. I'm sure you'll be just fine." My dad says.
"I miss Michigan. Did we really have to move all the way to Atlanta?" I say, even though I already know the answer.
"Now Glenn, you know I couldn't say no to the company. They needed me to transfer. And besides I'm making a lot of more money now. I thought you loved this new big house." He says.
"I know, I'm sorry. I don't mean to sound like a brat or ungrateful." I say.
"Don't worry, I understand. I mean, you did have to leave all your friends." He says.
"Seriously though, Dad. Thanks for everything. I mean, this is a great house. I guess your job promotion really did pay off, huh?" I say with a chuckle. My dad laughs.
And it is. It is two stories high. The outside is painted white and it has a porch. And the backyard has a porch swing! Also, the front and backyard are huge and the grass is very green. Like the eyes I dreamed about.
"Do you work after school today?" He asks.
"No, not today but I do tomorrow. Why?" I say. I actually really enjoy my new job. I'm a pizza delivery boy. Who doesn't love pizza, right?
"I was wondering if you could help me clean out the garage after school today, there's alot of junk in there we have to throw out." He says.
"Yeah, sure. No problem." I say.
Me and dad finish our breakfast and I start leaving for school and Dad gets ready to go to work, he's a car company manager. I grab my keys to my red car. My car is parked next to my dad's RV. He loves that thing. I get in my car and start driving.
I make it to school and park my car. I grab my backpack, and get out of the car and lock it. I'm at the front of the school now and I hear laughing. I see it's coming from two girls. One has short brown hair and the other has long blonde hair. They are with this boy with dark brown skin. I start to feel nervous because I remember that I'm the new guy that no one knows. The invisible guy. I have never felt so.....lonely. When I look again, the girls and the guy are gone. I sigh and start walking to the entrance of the school.
Please don’t let today suck.
