My dad is still awake when I get home. He's watching TV in the living room.
"Hey, Glenn. Did you have a nice night?" He asks me.
I sigh, "It was the best night of my life. I....I'm falling hard for her. I've never felt like this before."
"I can see it in your eyes, son. The way they get that spark whenever you talk about her."
"Oh my God, is it that obvious how crazy I am about her?" I ask, smirking. I sit down next to him.
"Yes, it is. The thing about you is that you show every emotion you feel."
"Is that good or bad?" I ask.
"It's a very good thing. That's who you are." He says.
And then I think about Maggie's cigarette burn on her hand. Which was a bad idea.
"What's wrong? You look worried now." My dad says with a frown.
"Oh, nothing. I'm just tired. I think I'm going to go to bed." I say.
My dad looks at me for a moment. Why do I have to be such a bad liar? I can't even play poker because it's too much like lying. But then he says, "Well, all right. Goodnight."
"Goodnight." I say.

I had a dream that night. It started with me and Maggie dancing, but then Shane is there. With a malicious grin on his face.
