Chapter 6

Emily's POV*

Two weeks had past since we came home from Spain, and I still hadn't got my period. I hadn't told Liam, but he knew something wasn't right. I had barely spoken to him at all, I didn't want to do anything to be honest. I was terrified about what he would think if I really was pregnant. It would be awful for his career and I didn't want to do that to him.

I stood in the bathroom and checked that the door was locked for the third time. Liam was in the living room watching tv, his tour started in a week and I was supposed to be going with him. If these pregnancy tests were positive I didn't know what I'd do.

I looked at my reflection in the mirror, I looked pale and tired. I do want children with Liam, of course I do, but I'm worried about how it would impact his career, that's why the idea of possibly being pregnant had worried me so much.

The three pregnancy tests that I had taken were now face down on their boxes in front of me. My hands shook as I picked up the first one. I turned it over and a rush of relief swept over me. Negative. I turned the next one over with more confidence. My heart dropped and tears rolled down my cheeks as I turned over the final test. Both were positive. I was pregnant.

Liam's POV*

I heard sobs coming from the bathroom, making me run towards the door. It was locked so I began banging on the door "Emily! What's wrong? Let me in!", I yelled through the thin wooden door.

To my surprise the door unlocked and my small, beautiful fiancé was standing in front of me, tears streaming down her face. She turned away from me and sat on the edge of the bath without saying anything. She held a box in the hands and she was looking down at it. I walked towards her and she held the box out in front of her. I saw the words 'pregnancy test' written on the box and my stomach twisted and knotted.

I tipped the pregnancy test out of the box and looked at the small square screen. Positive. She was pregnant. We were pregnant. Before I knew it I was crying too, happy tears though, unlike Emily. I love her more than anything and starting a family with her was something I was definitely ready to do.

"That's amazing Em", I said as I knelt on the floor in front of her, holding her hands in mine. She was still crying and I wasn't sure why.

"No it isn't", she responded through her tears.

"Why not?", I was confused, I thought she wanted kids.

"Because you're about to go on your and you have your career and this", she gestured the her stomach and then to the pregnancy test, "doesn't fit in with what you do. Next week you're leaving for a world tour, I can hardly come with you if I'm pregnant and I don't want you to be gone for months on end and miss everything. It's just not good timing. It's not good for you." She sobbed into my chest as I hugged her tightly.

"Hey, hey, hey, baby, look at me", she looked up at me, her blue eyes bloodshot and swollen from her tears. "Of course it's good for me, I want a family with you more than anything in the world. Who cares about the tour, I'm sure we can sort something out, we can talk to the doctor and see what he says. You might still be able to travel. The tour is only 5 months long so you won't be too pregnant by the time we come back. There's no way I'm missing this pregnancy so I'll do whatever it takes. But just please don't worry about this effecting me because I want this, I don't want you to think that it's a burden because it isn't. I love you Emily, and I'll love this baby just as much." I had tears streaming from my eyes and I was out of breath after speaking for so long.

"I love you too Liam", she whispered. "But are you one hundred percent sure that you really want this?"

"More than anything", I replied.

"We are having a baby", she said to me, still crying but finally smiling. I had missed that smile so much.

"We're having a baby", I repeated, a big smile on my tear stained face.
