Chapter 36

Liam's POV*

"That was a pretty good show boys!", Louis shouted, jumping on my back as we came off stage. Emily walked over and laughed at me and Louis as we messed around, punching each other and over reacting.

"Please be careful with him!" She joked and we both held our hands up I'm surrender. "Paul came over and said not to worry about recording tonight, the studio was double booked so you've got it tomorrow night instead", I was glad to hear this, I didn't fancy staying up all night.

"Excuse me?" I heard a voice call from behind me as we went to leave. We all turned around to see someone that none of us recognised.

"Erm hi?" I responded, unsure of what to say.

"Hi! I'm Rob!", I introduced myself in return and he laughed, saying he knew who I was.

He claimed to be some big shot music producer and invited the six of us to some VIP party of his. It sounded pretty good to be honest.

I looked at Emily and she nodded. "You boys should go, I was planning on having an early night anyway, just be careful baby", she said to me and I kissed her on the cheek, she got on the bus and headed back to the hotel and the boys and I followed our newly found friend Rob outside.

Emily's POV*

I rolled over as I woke up and went to wrap my arm around Liam but he wasn't there. I opened my eyes to see where he was and I saw that his side of the bed hadn't been slept in at all. He must have forgotten his key and stayed with one of the boys.

I sat up in bed and checked my phone, no texts or calls from Liam, he probably didn't want to wake me up. I went on Twitter and scrolled through my news feed for a bit.

I could have sworn my heart skipped a beat when I saw a picture of Harry leaving a club with his arm around a tanned, curly haired brunette, the caption saying 'Liam leaves club with hot girl! #cheatingpayne'. I searched the hashtag and my stomach turned into a ball of knots as I saw the picture multiple times with various different comments. I felt physically sick.

I ran to the bathroom and knelt next to the toilet and began throwing up violently. I didn't know if it was morning sickness or pure shock that was making me throw up but I didn't appreciate either.

I stopped being sick and sat down on the bathroom floor, leaning my back against the bath. I put my hand on my stomach and began to cry.

After a few minutes of crying I felt a strange sensation in my stomach, it felt like something was moving inside me. I moved my hand to the spot where the slightly painful feeling was and began to cry again as I realised that one of the babies were kicking. The worst part was that Liam wasn't here to experience it with me, he was off with some other girl.

Emily's POV*

I sat on the floor crying for what felt like a lifetime before calming myself down and getting up. As I went to get dressed I heard Liam open the door. I was suddenly furious again and grabbed my phone off of the bed and charged towards him. I threw the phone at his chest and began yelling, "what the hell is wrong with you Liam! Only yesterday you were saying that you wouldn't leave me! I can't believe this! You don't come home all night and then I find pictures of you with some whore that you picked up in a club! What the fuck Liam! I thought you were different!", I began pounding my tiny fists on his chest and he grabbed my wrists. He looked confused and he began to speak before I interrupted him. "I can't fucking believe this! While you were gone one of your babies kicked for the first time as you weren't even here! What the hell are you playing at! I trusted you! I can't even-" he let go of my wrists and I began hitting his chest again, I could tell that it wasn't physically hurting him but emotionally he was in agony.

"Emily, listen to me", he spoke softly despite my viciousness.

"No! You listen Liam! You are supposed to be here for me! For our children! I just- I can't even-" I broke down, falling to my knees and sobbing, this couldn't be happening, it had to be some awful nightmare. I began pinching my arms in an attempt to wake myself up but it wasn't working. Liam knelt down in front of me, now crying himself. He gently took my hands to stop me from pinching myself and I snatched them away.

"Emily, stop, please", he was practically begging now and I stopped. I just sat there on the floor, staring at my lap. "You need to calm down baby, it's not good for the babies. Just let me explain. I know how terrible this looks but it's honestly nothing like that. Just please, listen to me?" I didn't respond so he continued. "I did stay at that girls house last night, I won't deny that", my heart was racing and I clenched my fists again, but Liam stroked my arms to calm me down. "She's an old family friend, Danielle, and she was really drunk, so I asked her friend for her address and I got security to come and get us and take her to her house. She was in a complete state and needed to go home. I took her inside and made sure she was okay and when I went to leave she asked me to stay. I've known her most of my life and couldn't just leave. I slept on the sofa and left when she woke up this morning, I'm so sorry for making you doubt me Emily, and I know I should have been here for you instead of her but it was just a difficult situation to be put in. I'm so sorry baby", I knew he was telling the truth and now I felt like a complete idiot. I got so stressed and it wasn't good for the babies. I wrapped my arms around him and apologised more times than I could count.

"Don't be silly, this is my fault, I can't believe I missed one of the babies kicking, I'm so sorry." I buried my face in the crook of his neck and cried with relief.
