Chapter 37

Harry's POV*

Zayn and I were both awoken by the sound of Emily screaming, we both jumped of bed and rushed towards the door, colliding with each other and falling the floor. We looked at each other and realised what Emily was shouting about. We calmed down and sat on the sofa, waiting for the screaming to stop. She was angry, like really angry, she didn't know the story so it was bound to seem bad to her until Liam had explained. Danielle had bumped into us last night and her and Liam spent the whole night talking to her, she was pretty wasted and ran into some trouble with some other girls and Liam took her home after explaining to us the whole situation.

The screaming eventually died down and everything went quiet, she had either killed Liam or calmed down and I was guessing it was the second one. I looked over at Zayn who a few minutes ago looked pretty relaxed and saw that his eyebrows were furrowed and he looked anxious and irritated. It took me a few moments to remember that Perrie and the girls were coming to New York today, in fact they were probably already here, and that for the next three days we would all be paranoid about bumping into her. We were all anticipating what crazy thing she had planned and we were trying to prepare ourselves and Emily for the following few days. We didn't have a show tonight as we needed the chance to get used to the time differences when we got to different countries so we had the whole day off, with just a few hours of recording scheduled this evening.

Niall and Louis walked in and looked at us.

"Did Em just kill Liam?" Louis asked pretending to be upset. We all laughed and Niall grabbed the phone to order room service. He ordered the four of us a full English breakfast each without even asking us first, not that any of us were likely to complain.

Luckily security and management had sorted out the story on twitter and made sure people knew that Liam hadn't cheated on her before the magazines could twist it even more.

We finished our breakfast and got dressed. There still hadn't been any more noise from Liam and Emily so we figured they had sorted things out.

I looked at Zayn as he pulled his phone out of his pocket and his eyes narrowed. Anger washed over his face as he read the text and he threw the phone at the floor. I leaned over and picked it up and looked at the cracked screen. It was a text from Perrie.

'Are you ready?' Was all it said, the words lingered in my mind. The message was so simple but it sounded so threatening, towards which one of us we didn't know. Emily couldn't be left alone while Perrie was here that was for sure, not after last time.

My fists clenched at the memory of Perrie pushing Emily to the floor, and the feeling of not being able to get to her fast enough, it was horrible. I steered my thoughts away from that night and brought myself back to the present. Zayn was gone and the Niall and Louis were sitting, engaged in conversation about Perrie. I needed to tell Liam and Emily to be careful.

I walked out of the room and knocked on Emily and Liam's door. Emily answered, looking tired and stressed after this mornings events.

"Hey you, we heard you screaming through the walls, we thought you were going to kill him", I joked, hugging her tightly.

"Trust me, I thought I was going to kill him", he laughed softly and walked into the hotel room allowing me to follow. Liam was still in last nights clothes and Emily was still in her pyjamas.

"Zayn got a text from Perrie just now", I announced at lot sooner than I had planned.

"Oh, saying what?" Liam asked as Emily sat next to him and he wrapped his arm around her back.

I explained the text and Zayns reaction and told them to be careful. Emily didn't seem as bothered by it as the rest of us, she just put her hand on her stomach and said, "one of the babies kicked this morning", making me smile. She was so brave, she wasn't bothered about protecting herself, she just wanted to keep her babies safe. She was going to be an amazing mum, we all knew that for sure.
