Emily's POV*

Liam forced me to go to bed as soon as we got home from the hospital. His idea of 'taking it easy' was a little different to mine. To me it was not doing anything too active or stressful, for him it was not doing anything at all. I did as I was told though, not wanting him to worry any more than he already had.

I noticed that there was no evidence that I had passed out on the floor in the kitchen only a few days ago. The shattered glass had been cleared and everything looked exactly the same as it usually did.

"I'll go to bed if you have a shower", I teased Liam.

"Deal", he replied, holding out his hand to make the agreement official. I shook his hand and climbed into bed.

He had been at the hospital for the past three days and he hadn't even come home to shower of change his clothes. I loved how caring he was.

I turned the tv on and flicked through the channels trying to find something good to watch but nothing decent was on. I eventually found an episode of Friends and threw the remote onto the bed.

Liam spent a long time in the shower, obviously making up for the three he had missed.

When he eventually came out he got us a glass of water each and got into bed next to me. I cuddled up to him and we sat in silence watching tv, just enjoying each others company. I had no idea what time it was but we both fell asleep within minutes.

Liam's POV*

It had been a week since Emily came home from the hospital and the wedding was only three weeks away. Emily was still supposed to be taking things easy but I knew she had been secretly sorting wedding bits out, thinking I didn't know what she was doing. As long as she was happy I didn't mind though.

The boys had come over everyday to check on Emily and as nice as it was the amount of flowers that had built up in our kitchen from their visits was getting slightly ridiculous. Emily was getting sick of staying at home and was desperate to get out of the house so I had agreed to take her into town for lunch and some shopping as she was determined to get the last few things for the wedding.

We both got showered and dressed and Emily did her makeup. I could tell she was excited about leaving the house since I hadn't let her go anywhere for the last week.

"I've missed the outside world", she said excitedly as we stepped out of the house. She was now practically waddling due to the size of her bump and although she tried her best to walk normally she was struggling. The excitement drained from her face as she looked at me and said, "I feel like a penguin", and folded her arms on top of her bump like a child.

"You're a very beautiful penguin Em", I told her, hoping to cheer her up but earning nothing but a disapproving scowl. "Okay, just beautiful then", I teased, managing to put a smile on her face.

I wrapped my arm around her waist and we walked towards the car. I helped her in before getting in the drivers side. We drove to McDonalds, Emily's choice, and had our lunch before wandering round the shops. It was good knowing that she was okay and it was even better seeing her so happy.
