Liam's POV*

"This might be a little cold", the doctor said to Emily with a smile.

Emily was holding my had tightly and I could tell that she was nervous and just hoping that our baby was okay.

The doctor put the clear jelly like substance onto Emily's stomach and looked at the screen next to her.

Tears started running down me cheeks as I heard the light thudding of our baby's heartbeat. I looked at Emily, he cheeks were wet with tears and she was smiling.

"You're just over 7 weeks pregnant", the doctor informed us. I hadn't expected her to be that far into the pregnancy, I was thinking maybe four or five weeks.

Judging by the look on her face, Emily was surprised too.

We looked at the screen again, this time there was a small, white blob in the middle.

That was our baby. It didn't look like anything really, just a white blob on a screen. But it was our child, and in around seven months time, we would get to meet our baby.

"Do you want pictures?", we both nodded and the doctor smiled. "Okay then! Well everything's good, your baby is healthy and everything is normal. Just come back for another check up at 18 weeks and we will be able to tell you the baby's sex! Do you have any questions?"

"Erm yes actually, you see, I'm in a band and we go on tour around the world on Monday and we will be travelling for four months. Would Emily be okay to travel with us? I know it's a lot of traveling but she will be well looked after." I said.

The doctor smiled and she said "I know who you are, one direction right?" I nodded, "Emily will be perfectly fine to travel up until 7 months into the pregnancy. However due to the large amount of traveling we are talking about here, she will need a lot of rest and to be extremely careful."

I thanked her and we collected the pictures of our baby on the way out.

We left the building and got into the car. Emily had the ultrasound pictures in an envelope on her lap and was smiling the whole way home.

Emily's POV*

I was so relieved. My baby was perfectly healthy and that's all that mattered. Seeing Liam's face light up when he heard our baby's heart beating made me realise how lucky I am to have him, he is so caring and kind and I know he is going to be an amazing dad.

The tour started in two days and now that I had been told it was safe for me to go with them I decided I needed to pack.

Liam packed his own stuff as well and after a couple of hours we had two very full suitcases ready for the next four months away from home.

We snuggled up in bed and spent the evening watching films, I fell asleep with my head on his chest listening to his breathing, thinking about how amazing my life is and how incredibly lucky I am.
