Emily's POV*
When I woke up Liam wasn't there. I checked my phone and read a text that informed me he had gone to get food since we had nothing to eat and that he would be back soon. I got up and made the bed before heading into the bathroom and running myself a bath, I had missed this bath. I filled it with bubbles so that the whole bath was covered in a layer of white foam. I got my clothes for the day and hung them on the door handle and put my towel next to the bath. I climbed into the bad and straight away felt more relaxed than I had in a long time and I had to use all of my strength to stop myself from falling asleep and drowning.
I spent far too long in the bath and by the time I got out my fingers were all wrinkly. I wrapped myself in my towel and moisturised my legs before getting taking my clothes and putting them on. I had decided on a mint green maxi dress and a denim jacket. I hated having to wear the same sort of clothes everyday but it was virtually impossible to find anything that stretched over my stomach that actually looked nice. I went back into the bedroom and sat down in front of the mirror, turning the straighteners on, I really needed to get some new ones as these ones took forever to heat up. While I waited for the straighteners to come to life I did my makeup, only putting on a thin line of eyeliner and a layer of mascara and some lip gloss. When the straighteners had finally heated up I used them to make loose curls in the hair. I then plaited a large chunk of hair that had grown out and now just fell over my eyes, and clipped it to the side.
Liam still wasn't home and I had nothing to do so I headed to the lounge and turned the tv on. I went to get a drink before walking back towards the sofa. I got halfway to the sofa when I felt a searing pain in my stomach. The glass of water that was in my hand was now shattered on the floor in front of me, tiny splinters of glass spread across the floor. I put my hands on my stomach as everything when silent and my vision disappeared. I felt body hit the floor and then everything was just black.
Liam's POV*
I had been out a lot longer than I had planned, doing a full shop was a lot more difficult than I thought, I had no idea what we needed or what to buy. After walking around the supermarket three times I decided to just get the basic things like bread and milk and some teacakes and crisps for Emily. So far I had managed to go unspotted by any fans as I had gone so early, but a couple of hours had past and as I went to the checkout I was swarmed by a group of about ten girls, all calling my name a waving bits of paper and pens at me, asking for autographs. I smiled and signed them one by one, having a few pictures taken with some of them. I paid for my shopping with the girls still just staring at me and scurried out of the shop.
On my way home I stopped off at the drive-thru at McDonald's to get coffee for me and Emily. The girl that served me was about twenty-one and was clearly a fan. When she realised who she was serving she grinned and became nervous and clumsy, dropping things and apologising every five seconds. I signed a napkin for her and she thanked me at least ten times before giving me the coffees and saying goodbye. It was strange that there were people that I didn't know, that knew everything about me.
I continued on my way home and got stuck in traffic when I was only five minutes away from our house. The road ahead had been closed off due to an accident and it took me an extra fifteen minutes to get home as I had to take the long route.
When I finally got home, I pulled into the drive and got the shopping out of the car, holding the two carrier bags in one hand and the two coffees in the other. I placed the bags on the floor and got my key out of my pocket. I opened the door and held it open with my foot while I picked up the bags.
When I got inside the house my bags instantly fell out of my hand and fell to the floor with a thump and the coffees went with them. My heart was pounding in my chest and I was already sprinting over to Emily. She was collapsed on the floor, surrounded by shattered glass and the bottom of her dress was drenched in blood. There was a smaller puddle of blood underneath her head. I got to her side within seconds. She was pale and freezing cold and her breathing was barely detectable. I scooped her up in my arms bridal style and laid her on the sofa. My phone was already held to my ear calling for an ambulance. They asked me a string of questions about what state she was in while the ambulance made its way to our house. It took only a few minutes for the paramedics to arrive, the blue lights flashing outside the house. I ran over to the door and started rambling on at them.
"I got home and she was on the floor, you need to help her, you have to do something", I said, breathing faster than ever, my sentence coming out as one long word.
"Just calm down, where is she?", I gestured to the sofa and they rushed over to her. They put her on a stretcher and took her out to the ambulance. I grabbed my phone and keys and followed them outside. We climbed into the ambulance and instantly began driving. The paramedics gave Emily an oxygen mask and wired her up to a load of machines. They gave her an injection of what I don't know and began examining her, taking her pulse and blood pressure along with a variety of other tests.
My whole body was trembling and I clung tightly onto her limp hand and we drove to the hospital.
