Emily's POV*
I could feel someone running their fingers through my hair, awakening me from my deep sleep.
"Emily, wake up", I was surprised to hear my mums voice and my eyes involuntarily opened, "well don't look so shocked, I told you we were coming to the wedding, and here we are." I glanced behind her to see my dad standing in the doorway of mine and Liam's bedroom. He had spent the night with the boys and I wouldn't see him until we were about to get married. Married. It was my wedding day. Today.
"I'm just surprised, happy, but surprised", I laughed softly, sitting up to hug my mum. It was strange hugging her after we had spent so long not talking, but it was nice.
"How are you feeling?", she asked me.
"Good, I have no idea why I'm so nervous though", I admitted and she nodded.
"I felt the exact same way when I got married", she told me, reminiscing about her wedding day.
I get out of bed and when I entered the kitchen there was already a plate of pancakes on the table. We all sat down around the table and began eating, like a family. Like we used to.
"I'm so proud of you Emily", my dad told me, giving my hand a squeeze, "you've made quite a life for yourself. I'm just sorry it took us this long to realise it."
"Thanks dad, I'm glad you're here".
Just after we finished our breakfast there was a knock at the door and my mum insisted on going to open it.
Eleanor scurried through the door carrying multiple bags on both arms and a massive grin on her face.
"Emily! I can't believe you're getting married today! "Oh my gosh I need to sit down!", she said, breathing out a sigh after her excited outburst. She put the bags down on the sofa before slumping down next to them.
"We'd better get back to our hotel to get ready, we'll see you in a few hours", my mum said, dismissing her and my dad from the excited presence of Eleanor.
I gave both of my parents a hug before they left and returned to Eleanor who was sitting on the sofa waving at me like a lunatic.
"Hey El", I said, chuckling at her excitement.
"How are you so calm! You're getting married in a few hours for god sake!" she responded at my calm attitude.
"I know I am, but why wouldn't I be calm, I've wanted this for the past six years and now today is finally here!" I explained while Eleanor just sat on the sofa grinning at me. "Although I would have preferred to be a bit thinner", I joked, placing my hands on my ever-growing stomach as the babies wriggled around.
"Well you can't have it all can you, that would just be selfish!" Eleanor joked back.
"I guess youre right. So what's the plan for today", I asked her, knowing she would have planned the morning out to the minute.
"Well we need to start by putting on some decent music that's for sure", she said, glaring at the radio which had started playing some sort of classical music. She turned the radio off and put her ipod on instead. "Then we need to do your makeup which will no doubt take a while as youll be going to the loo every five minutes!"
"You try being pregnant with twins and not going to the toilet!", I challenged her and she held her hands up pretending to surrender.
"Then I'll do my makeup and hair before doing your hair and then we will get you into your dress and just hope that it still fits over that", she joked, gesturing to my stomach.
I pretended to be offended by what she said making her laugh.
"I've had it adjusted like ten times now, it had better fit", I laughed at the thought of me getting stuck in my dress and having to get married in trackies.
"When are Ruth and Nicola coming", Eleanor questioned.
"Oh they're getting ready at their hotel and meeting us there", I was looking forward to seeing Liam's sisters again as it had been a few months since we last saw them.
Eleanor nodded and grabbed her makeup bag and dragged me over the the table in the dining room.
I sat down in front of her as she started doing my makeup.
"I'm not even going to do any foundation, you've got that whole pregnant glow thing going on", she said as she started applying a shimmery silver colour onto my eyelids. She continued by filling in my eyebrows lightly and applying a thin line of eyeliner to my eyelids. The finished by added mascara to my lashes and clapping her hands excitedly as she held up the mirror to show me her work.
Although it wasn't a lot it looked amazing. I looked healthy and elegant.
"I love it, thanks!" I said hugging her.
"No time for hugging! I need to get myself ready!"
I decided to leave Eleanor to it and go and phone Liam for a bit.
After trying to ring him three times with no answer I left a message and went back to sit with Eleanor.
About two hours later we were both ready, my hair was in loose waves with my vail and tiara in place. My dress was on and fitted perfectly, the loose fabric hung over my stomach reaching my feet, the peach ribbon sitting just above my bump. The lace sleeves hugged my arms perfectly and the low cut diamanté neckline made the necklace that Liam bought me on our one year anniversary look even more beautiful.
"You look perfect Emily", Eleanor beamed, wrapping her arms around me, almost crying.
"Thank you, you look beautiful by the way", I complimented her earning a smile.
Just as we were about to leave, my phone started vibrating on the table. I picked it up and saw Harry's name appear on the screen.
"Hey Harry, how's Liam holding up? Not got cold feet I hope!", I joked.
"Emily", his voice was quiet and it sounded as though he had been crying and worry automatically took over my mind, "Emily, there's been an accident, it's Liam."
