Maui's Island

Chapter 27

Moana's POV 

The next night...

     So we're due to arrive at Maui's island any minute now and I'm beyond excited. It's night time right now but you can see his island approaching due to the fish hook constellation looming over it. It's absolutely beautiful. It's surrounded by hundreds of stars. It's also where I first met Maui, which makes it all the more special to me. I turn my attention to Maui. "So Maui, how does it feel to be home again?" He gives me a mixed reaction. "It feels good I guess, though I feel bad about you not being able to go back to Montonui." "I do too, but honestly, I'm pretty excited to see your island and being able to share the experience of living there with you. I think it'll be great." He kisses my forehead. "I think so too. Make sure to grab your belongings and supplies because we're pulling in now." 

    10 minutes later...

       Our boat is docked and we head onto the island. Maui grins at me. "Where I live isn't all that much, but I think you'll like it." He pushes past some brushes and tree branches and the core of the island appears before my eyes. My jaw drops. It's stunning. There's a giant waterfall surrounded by endless flowers and a giant tree house that I'm assuming Maui lives in. "Maui, this is incredible. Literally a million times better than Montonui. Can you show me the inside of the treehouse? I'm assuming that's where you live." He laughs. "Yes that's where I live and sure." He leads me to the ladder to climb up. He bows down. "My lady. You may go first." I laugh and bow back. "Thank you." I climb up with Maui right behind me. He opens the door to the treehouse and once again, my breath is taken away. 

     "Gosh Maui, I'm so jealous of you right now." I look around at all of the modern stuff that he has, including a giant plasma screen TV and endless supply of food. "Your island no doubt puts mine to shame." He frowns at that comment. "I don't mean to be cocky Moana. I hope it's not coming across that way. I had to venture a long way to obtain most of my belongings. If there's anything that you desire, I'll get it for you. I don't care how far I have to go to get it." He kisses my hand. "You my love, deserve the world and more. I'd build you a palace if that's what you wanted." I blush. "I don't a palace or tons of materialistic items to be happy Maui. All I need is you and your love." He smiles. "I know. Doesn't mean that I'm not going to try to spoil you though." I laugh. "If that's something you want to do, I won't stop you. Just don't go too crazy though. I'll try my best to spoil you now and then as well." "Sounds like a plan my love."
